Android 4.3 Confirmed Ahead of I/O Via Developer Site

Android 4.3

This morning, we are expecting a ton of things to be announced at Google’s annual developer’s conference, Google I/O. One of goodies we were hoping to see is of of course, a new version of Android. Search results through the official Android developer site show that Android 4.3 is very much real and that we could definitely be seeing it today.

No changelog or any features are listed, given that search results lead to a different landing. Android 4.3 is real.

Someone messed up no 4.3 announcement….

  • Jonathan Bunch

Sad that we didn’t get to see this today.

  • Kevin Hill

    Ha ha, good joke.

  • Michael Lewis

I’m going to load this up as soon as the good people at XDA make it available for my Xperia Play on Verizon. Until then I’m sticking with 4.2! Oh the joys of Rooting have made my phone live much longer then I thought possible!

  • Sean Carey

i NEEEEEED someone to be able to walk me through rooting and flashing 4.2 to my DROID RAZR MAXX……would love to have photo sphere

  • TheRobotCow

    • TylerChappell

  • TheWenger

I just flashed the newest AOKP milestone a few weeks ago and my battery life increased like crazy. Looks like I’ll be jumping on stock 4.3 now.

  • Nathan Keeley

I can’t wait till the 4.3 Android Injected stickers start showing up

  • joejoe5709

Even if it’s mostly bug fixes, a new Android version is easily the most exciting thing about owning a GNex. Love it!

    • now if we hope we dont have to wait long for a release.

    • tomn1ce

That’s what I’m going to miss from the LTE G-Nexus when I move to a new device this year. I love the devs that goes on for the G-Nexus. The G-Nexus will move on to been my house phone after I pick up a new device. I’m waiting on Motorola and for the G-Note 3 to be released to see what they’ll have to offer.

  • jbdan

    Such an exciting day!

  • I don’t even have 4.2 on my DNA yet! Man did I pick the wrong phone!

    • DanWazz

Root and Rom. only way to get timely updates on Verizon.

      • there’s aren’t any stable ROMs for the DNA yet.

        • DanWazz

Damn, I guess next time buy a Nexus phone, or a popular phone devs will support.

          • nexus doesn’t work where I live because there’s no GSM coverage. I had a Nexus 4 for 2 months, but coverage was awful, so I sold it.

          • michael arazan

I don’t think Verizon is going to allow another nexus phone, too many updates for them not to handle.

The GNex is the most updated phone on vzw. No other phone has had so many updates for a single device, not including a security patch, but for os updates. 4 updates was a lot for them it seemed, and every time their was a new update everyone at the vzw wireless community forum was complaining about their gnex missing or delays in updates. These were all regular phone people, not techie people who root.

WHAT??? You must be high. Or you are just talking out your ass and probably have no idea what a DNA is.

          • if you know of one with a working camera please link me. I haven’t found one yet.

          • can you link me to a stable ROM or did you just want to lash out at someone on the internet?

  • This is going to be awesome!

  • Jwhap

And Google services framework trick begins…….lol

    • I read somewhere constantly doing that is bad. But hey. Ain’t my phone.

      • Jwhap

I have not heard one way or the other. Not sure how it would be bad, you are just tricking the software to thinking it is an older date so that when it checks the servers it does a deeper search. Besides, it was mostly an attempt at humor! Everyone of us wait for this day and update announcements…….all of a sudden they announce “we are sending out the update now….” And we do every trick in the book to snag the update, unless you are running a ROM…..which I am so it does not matter.

  • KleenDroid

Soon to be running on my Gnex!

And no I won’t be waiting for Verizon to get it to me.
