Rooting Method Updated for Verizon Galaxy Note 2 After VRAMC3 Update

verizon logo galaxy note 2

Did you happen to lose root or still have not yet rooted after updating the Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon to build VRAMC3? Developers released an updated rooting method for the device over the weekend, easily working its way around VZW’s OTA patch. Running the program is extremely simple as it is completely automated and just takes a couple of clicks if you are running Windows 7. It is also available for Windows 8, Linux and Mac users, so it should be a fun and easy process.

You will need Java installed on your computer and a completely stock device. If you are ready to get your root on, head on over to the thread to download the needed file.

I’m a newbie to rooting. Will a rooted Verizon galaxy note 2 be able to delete stock “undelete – able” apps? Or the pesky “miscellaneous files”?

yeah, just tried like 12 times on my Macbook…no go.

      I 2nd tht!

  • Why would I want to root my Note 2? The thing is perfect as is.

I’d fave this post 1000 times if I could.

The ability to block ads, if you are into that sort of thing. And backups of your phone with Titanium Backup. Those are what I use root for.

Seriously… Why do they keep trying to lock down these phones. It’s a losing battle. They could save a bunch of money just giving up (or switching to Geico). Resistance is Futile!

that home button… just as fugly as the first time

Great news for VZW Note2 owners.

Anybody know of a method to root with Mac for the S3 on Verizon stock? If there’s a way with Mac for the Note 2, there’s gotta be a way for the S3.
