Information is out this morning, concerning a possible upcoming Google Games service from Mountain View. Inside the newest update to the MyGlass application for Google Glass are certain folders, which have been detailed thanks to a recent teardown, concerning a service that could bring in-game chat, lobbies, leaderboards, and achievements to Android devices. While it was reported that what is detailed could have nothing to do with Google Glass, the inclusion of this information is being taken as a simple mistake by the Glass application developers. In other words, they left information inside the app that shouldn’t have been there.

Inside are file names that detail a real-time gaming service, one that could be launched sometime in the future. Each file listed would basically be a connection between the device and servers hosting the lobbies, so no real concrete information was able to be stripped. The only thing that we are able to take away from this is that Google does in fact have something up their sleeves for gamers.

With I/O right around the corner, could we expect to see a major announcement then? Google I/O 2013 is shaping up to be the best one yet.
