For galaxy nexus, I’ve been using this ROM called pitch black. Insanely themed to black. Stable and the screen transitions are way too fast.

JellyBeans Rom build 13 for Verizon galaxy note 2 is absolutely fantastic. I have yet to find a single issue with the ROM. It is unbelievably fast and smooth, with a lot of features while maintaining an AOSP look to it

Project E.LE. for Mako and Note 2. Kind of a mash up of the best features from Killrom, CM, PA, AOKP. awesome battery life and buttery smooth with all the good features without being overkill.

  • LP

been on Paranoid for awhile now, ready to test something new out…cmon guys, give me something…

    • KleenDroid

Give Atom a try mentioned above. Make a Nandroid of what you have and give it a go. I’d bet a nickel you will love it and never look back. But no worries since you can restore your backup if needed.

  • Martin

Try Xylon. The best ROM i’ve tried so far!!

Stable, reliable, smooth, updated frequently, great feature set.

Recommending either of these Vanir variants for VZW GNex:

ATOM: Blazing fast ROM with Pie, Navbar Settings and the normal customizations you would expect. Fast enough on its own, lightspeed when paired with AK Kernel. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969158)

COMMOTIO: Pretty much same as above but custom GAPPS are built in and there is some minor theming. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2065370)

  • Nagini

PLEASE something better than BAMF Paradigm. Can’t wait to get off this laggy ass ROM.

    • Ken Paul

Just wondering what is so much different between your phone and mine. BAMF Paradigm is one of the smoothest roms I’ve run. At least on my gnex. I’ll install a rom and gaaps then as time, usually a week or so, goes by I’ll add some of my favorite mainstay apps and also some new ones I want to check out for the long haul. Sorry your not seeing the same as I am.

      • KleenDroid

Why would you need to wait a week to install apps?

        • Ken Paul

Ahh it probably isn’t a week for my mainstay apps maybe a couple of days. Don’t even use TB just reinstall fresh from the playstore on a clean slate. Just like to try new stuff along with what I use all the time. Like to work with the rom a little getting it set up how I’d like then add in some new apps to try them out. Bottom line is I guess I just like playing.

  • staticx57

    Commotio for the Galaxy Nexus

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2065370

It’s an offshoot of the Vanir project and it is the perfect balance of features and speed. It is the only ROM i have run that has been stable and fast all the time.

    • KleenDroid

      Try its brother Atom.

  • Bassdj

    RootBox!

  • http://twitter.com/na3800 Aaron

MIUI. It is the only ROM that truely offers a different experience over AOSP, it has evolved beautifully over the last 2 years

  • delerivm

NuSenseROM Eternity Edition by Santod, for the HTC Thunderbolt

Santod has been supporting a handful of rock-solid Thunderbolt ROMs, with consistent updates that breathe new life into this older phone. I’m recommending the Eternity ROM because I think it’s the most solid and full-featured offering, including support for “volume wake” which is really helpful for those of us whose old Bolts’ buttons are worn and broken.

One of the best developer, great team behind him and a helpful community.
The Rom is full of tweaks, gets updated every day.

  • S2556

I have been a long time user of Task650′s AOKP release on the AT&T GS3. It has AOKP as well as CM and his own commits. He updates frequently. Squashed bugs before the AOKP team did. awesome ROM and kernel combo. Tons of customization and performance options. Etc… http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766684 everything you need and more

  • Austin Warren

Atom422 Version 12 ROM for Toro, Maguro, Grouper, ToroPlus, Manta, Tilapia.

Super fast ROM with everything you could possibly want including Pie. If you don’t like all the extras youcan use it plain. It is very fast and smooth. I use the AK kernel but you can use wwhateveryou want. Make a Nandroid and give it a try.

      totally agree

  • MichaelFranz

Hopefully RAZR HD development picks up over the next week or 2. I would love to see some of them show up here. I am running one now, even though it really is just a stock DST. Would love to see some of the great Dev’s get a hand on this device and pump out a build for it.

    • KleenDroid

Yes! Atom version 12 is amazing.

  • Zak Kauffman

    Slim Bean http://slimroms.net/

Android 4.2.2, with great customization features for the entire ROM, including nav and status bars, custom dpi settings. Slim Bean is extremely lightweight, with its own slim gapps that can be installed with a standard .zip or with an All-In-One Aroma. It has a widgetpager that can be added to hardware buttons or the nav bar, and there is “The Real Dark Slim,” which can change stock-colored gapps to their inverted form with the slide of a toggle.
It also has Slim OTA, which allows you to update your ROM automatically.

  • Jeremy Case

Jelly Beans ROM for the Galaxy S3. It is super smooth and really bug free. It has Touchwiz features with AOSP looks.

  • dvigs

Carbon rom is the BEST..Hands down..

Custom ROMs motto: “It’ll be fixed in the next build.”

    Stock Master Race reporting in.

    • Nick S

Agreed – I’ll be running stock rooted w/Apex Launcher until we fall behind with updates again on the Verizon GNex. Looking forward to that happening as much as my next colonoscopy.

  • http://profiles.google.com/philhyde Phil Hyde

After using AOKP on my Galaxy Nexus, I have come to prefer CyanogenMod 10.1 on my Nexus 4. In stock form it has just enough tweaks to keep me happy, while retaining that great stock feel. M3 was just released and is very stable. http://www.cyanogenmod.org/

  • DroidModderX

ScottsRoms has been pumping out some crazy good development on Verizon devices for quite sometime now. He is known for his highly tweaked stock Rom builds that are some of the most stable builds available with plenty of options to choose the features you want with Aroma installer.

Clean Rom ACE (All Carrier Edition) 4.7 for the Galaxy Note 2 works on Verizon, AT&T, Tmobile, and Canadian. It is one of the fastest around and I generally get 24+ hours battery life. One of the best for sure.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFj9aTd0GaY

    • JoshGroff

It’s hard to not get 24 hours+ on the Note 2, even on stock.

      • DroidModderX

not if you are a crazy heavy user like me

        • JoshGroff

What do you do with your phone? I’ve literally tried to drain the Note 2′s battery, and it takes 6+hours of Netflix to do so, and the standby life is just crazy.

          • http://twitter.com/imnuts07 Mark

Doesn’t everyone run their phone at 100% brightness and watch HD movies over 1X?

          • JoshGroff

Of course, anything else would be uncivilized.

      • Austin Warren

Right? I got around 24-26 with 5-6 hours screen on. Lasted a whole shift at work.

        • Sharky

5-6 hours of phone time at work? I need a job like that.

          • Austin Warren

Firefighter. Plenty of times before calls.

          • KleenDroid

Are you being serious? After reading many of your posts I wouldn’t guess you were a firefighter.

          • Austin Warren

After reading many of your posts I wouldn’t guess you were over 12. All jokes aside, yes I am. I’m only 22 so I can be immature at times.

          • KleenDroid

Wow, I was going to say maybe you were a businessman or something.

          • Austin Warren

I have a degree in business. That’s all. Haha

      • Big_EZ

I normally drain mine in 8-10 hours. My RAZR MAXX use to get about 7-8 hours. On the weekends I can get any where from 16-40 hours.

    • http://twitter.com/imnuts07 Mark

Getting a full day of use out of the Note 2 is about as hard as Bob Dole without Viagra…

LiquidSmooth 2.1v (4.2.2 JB) for the OG Razr

  • Snowbo13

i have been using carbon 1.6 and its much more stable for my gnex than previous versions. I also like the Dark Carbon switch… i know this rom has been done before

  • Blake Curtis

Paranoid Android still be the best Rom in the Game and with Pie 2 coming soon it’ll be even better!

  • Mr. Joshua

How about a tablet rom this time? New to the android tablet scene, so I’m very interested

    • KleenDroid

Most of the ROMs are also tablet ROMs.
