Video: NVIDIA’s Project SHIELD Powers a Parrot AR Drone

YouTube Preview Image

Were you one of the people that thought Project SHIELD was pointless? Prepare to eat your words. Here at GTC, I caught a glimpse of an NVIDIA employee flying his new Parrot AR Drone, running on Project SHIELD.

Flying the drone is cool all by itself, but with SHIELD, you are able to view what the drone sees on that crisp 720p display, and control the drone much more accurately with the SHIELD’s joysticks.

Pretty cool, right?

Very cool! Can’t wait to try something like this out. Anyone interested in the AR.Drone can check out more about it here: http://quadcopterhq.com/parrot-ar-drone-2-0-review/

you can control these drones with a phone or tablet too, would be less conspicuous to use a phone or tablet

I bet Obama is the first to buy one. All jokes aside, that’s awesome.
