Where are the stock options from any manufacturer? If you really have to have a bland UI, you have the option to hack your favorite companies phone or buy a Nexus. The choice again, is yours. Why should any company create a stock option for the few thousand folks that want that? However, that being said, look to HTC to bring us the next Nexus

You talk about choice, where are the options from HTC for those of us who like bone stock. They can make sense skinned phones all they want. But at least give us One phone that’s stock. The Nexus 1 proves they are capable of both.

Or.. how about just not having a low/mid-range set of devices. If you want an HTC Phone, go buy the best and only new model they’ve got. We don’t need four-hundred ninety-one thousand, six-hundred thirty-two different HTC devices again.

That’s what I meant. I don’t think their pixel count is actually any higher I think they’re just optimizing.

Have you actually used an HTC camera lately? Whatever camera software they put in there works wonders. It yields some awesome photos, MUCH better than the vanilla Android software.

If you install a stock style launcher like nova or apex, you won’t have to worry about blink feed taking up a home screen either

Okay, just dug around and saw a review where HTC has stated that BlinkFeed can be disabled – so that’s a huge plus. A few sites are even claiming it will be possible to remove it – although others still claim if can’t be removed. I guess I’ll need to wait and see – if I can disable it and remove it from the home screen – then this phone may be back in the running for being my next phone.

Therin lies part of the problem with BlinkFeed – it can’t go away (at least, that’s what all the reviews I have found for it thus far have said). It will always take up one full home screen. You can change it so that BlinkFeed is not the default home screen, but you cannot remove it from the screen like you can with app links or widgets. That’s what I mean about mutating – they have stripped out choice and forced a screen you cannot remove to have a Windows 8-ish look to it.

To be honest, Sense 5 isn’t horrid other than the new BlinkFeed addition. It’s my primary complaint.
