The market for Android tablets is constantly changing and it is constantly leaving older tablets in the dust. Today Woot! has Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 as their sale of the day for only $249.99. This is the 16GB version of the device with a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz and Android 4.0.

The tablet comes refurbished, but as a buyer from Woot! before I can speak for a good product. If you’re looking for a fairly decent Android tablet for cheap, hit the link below.

An iPad 2 off Craigslist is much better.

No, it isn’t, you phucking iSheep…

  • Why all the haters? I bought this for the same price back in December. I rooted it and am running a great 4.1.2 ROM on it. Granted it’s not the Note, but then again I don’t see spending $500 for a tablet. As long as you follow the simple steps and root it, I think it’s a great deal.

I feel like Samsung has already abandoned this product. It has dual-core, and it’ll probably be left out of all the updates in the future. Wouldn’t go for it. And dual-core also insures a mediocre Android experience.

    • I’m not sure if I’d go that far (the ol’ Touchpad runs pretty well, albeit overclocked), but Sammy is definitely coming out with a new Galaxy Tab soon. FWIW, they have also been pushing the Note 10.1 over their Tab line for a while too.

It still has 4.0 so I think this is a terrible deal. And the Touchpad is stock and had tweaks(overclocking) to make it that fast. I’m just making my point based on the XOOM and Rezound. Although the One X ran pretty fast, I still wouldn’t get this. Much rather spend on Nexus 7, although it’s based on opinions.

        • Totally agreed on that — I wouldn’t personally get this, but it’s probably good for someone who can’t/doesn’t want to spend much, or especially for a kid.

Buy the kid a bike or a basketball or some sports equipment, it’ll be cheaper and they’ll probably thank you more years down the line.
