I had an S3 and a Note 2, there is nothing that Samsung did to improve the camera on either phone that wasn’t already baked into Android. If anything they made it slower.

The motion gestures were clumsy and difficult to use. For example to fast scroll to the top of a list you double tap the top of the phone but it NEVER worked. You could also turn the phone over to mute but again you can get that stuff in the Play Store, there is no reason to have it installed on my device. Give users the option to choose!

I just don’t see the benefit of molesting the phone’s software for very marginal gain at the cost of millions only to further fragment the Android OS and cause countless update delays and problems. There is no need for it.

I’m so sorry that I missed another one of your pointless Samsung Fluffing posts. BTW, what are you actually yammering on about here? You’ve listed a bunch of Samsung phones and your saying how great they are while bashing Nexus devices (2 of those were made by Samsung, BTW), but there doesn’t appear to be a single point to any of it.

Anyone who has read one of your posts, this month, knows that you have a geek chubby for Samsung. We get it, Samsung rules and every other manufacturer is crap. The funny part is that you don’t even see how your comment proves my original comment on so many levels. Stop being such a fanboy. Fanboys are idiots no matter what they are fans of because they are fanatical and fanatics are serious idiots. Grow up a little.

We could start with the Camera software,Sharing features,all of the motion and gesture commands, different lockscreen options, MULTI WINDOW multitasking, text messaging layouts amongst other things….

I don’t own an S3 or Note but I have used both and they are exceptional devices! When I think touchwiz I dont necessarily think of the OS as it is in fact android and all of android core features are there just with added bonuses. When I think touchwiz I think of their launcher which I DONT like however with a simple download from the play store Nova launcher works wonders……all I’m saying is test drive these new string of devices they do not feel like S1 which felt clunky or obstrusive they are very fast and “touchwiz” has killer features

Lol, true. Samsung sucks at locking their bootloaders – that or they want the public to unlock it. If you really want the public not to be able to mess with that, do what Moto does – they’ve locked theirs fairly well.

You’re kidding, right? Samsung’s “Nature UI” looks almost exactly like Gingerbread with a bit more gaudy flair, in the same way that HTC’s Sense has been so over-the-top and full of eye candy (until version 5 and maybe 4) for dopes like you, but no really useful features.

If LG could make stock panorama better, I’m guessing Sammy can make photo sphere better, we need better camera software in Android and no place to go but up, can’t wait to see what Motorola also does with X

This is something i never got either. Why not make these default UI changes into a launcher suite that can be turned on and off and then only have to worry about updating that? I mean most all of the features are integration with certain services and the like or their own app versions of this or that would are easily done in a launcher suite vs going into the core OS and changing the overall visuals…

I wouldn’t really call the Nexus 4 a flagship device. The nexus line have always been good phones but they aren’t like massively advertised. They are meant as development standpoint style phones not overt flagships. We didn’t even see people referring to the Nexus line as flagship at all until the Nexus 4..

Point blank Samsung is android plain and simple. Even silly Nexus devices don’t compare to the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Note 2. Bottom line Nexus devices are severely out classed in everyway.

No doubt Samsung will do much better with this photo sphere featurethan google. After all software and features are Samsung’s true strength. Android has benefitted from Samsung and vice versa. The Galaxy S4 will be a great device.
