But they have said that like some features from some of the OEMs so I want to know if they have a particular rom from touchwiz, blur, or sense that has features they use on a regular basis. I don't like skins either, but on most devices stripped down OEM roms run better than AOSP. Also on my Note 2 I'm stuck on touchwiz because I'm not giving up multi window, and it's not that bad.

I know I'm super late but I am very interested to get your opinion on this...

The guys over at Android Central on their podcast last week posed the idea that 4.2 might actually get skipped over by most devices kinda like how only the Droid got 2.0. Given that they didn't change the name of the update and that it really doesn't add much to the OS outside of lockscreen widgets and photosphere, could you see it being passed up for Key Lime Pie?

Ok, so Google Glass brings up some concerns for connectivity. "How?" being the main concern. Is it going to run on open Wifi, or be connected to a carrier? I started to think that the wireless network Google is testing at HQ, my have something to do this. Maybe they plan on going global and will create a network specifically for Glass, with the network expanding for the Nexus line of devices. Has this crossed anyone else's mind? What are your thoughts for how Google plans to keep Glass connected?

In my opinion, no, the average consumer probably won't know... at first. Technically, Android is a Linux based OS and uses a Linux kernel, so you have used one if you've used Android. The supposed advantage of Ubuntu for Phones is that it will give a person pretty much full computer power in their smartphone, once it is docked, at least. At this point, this is speculation because they haven't released the images for flashing. I'm intrigued to see what it brings to the table because of the possibilities. Back to your original question, I think that average consumers are becoming more and more aware of Linux, especially Ubuntu, as an alternative to the status quo (Windows). We'll have to see what happens over the next year though.
