I run my N7 completely stock because it is a NEXUS device meaning it will get the latest and greatest from Google on day 1 and I only run a custom ROM on my phone because its supposed to be on ICS (Droid Razr) and after experiencing the effects of Project Butter and Google Now, I can’t live without Jelly Bean!

I was unable to ge the update earlier and I knew there was a method that involved clearing data with some app that had Google in the name! Downloading update as I type this!

I’ve personally been on 4.2 for months now. i’ve flashed pretty much every big rom available, and am happiest with aokp’s pub build. But there are plenty of reasons not to rom. For example, I have a friend who has a gnex on his company line, so he can’t really tinker with it. Either way, there is no reason the gnex shouldnt officially be on 4.2.1 at least.

Nope mine is stock, just rooted and unlocked with currents disabled. Havn’t downloaded any apps even since I reset it to stock and still am surprised when 3 days after I’ve charged it, it won’t turn on

Probably some rogue background app(s).. My N7′s been unplugged for 35 hours and I still have 66% left. This is after spending some time installing/settings apps.

I am 100% stock. Nothing done to the device. It is just jumpy when I try to scroll down a long web page or not registering my touch sometimes. No problem on 4.1 though

If someone owns this phone I don’t know why they say this. My vzw Gnex is not behind any updates. And if yours is, in the amount of time writing a post you could have upgraded it.

If you don’t root and throw some custom roms on your gnex you’ll never unlock it’s fullest potential. I bought my vzw Gnex off craigslist and it was already running CM10.1 and I can tell you I’ve never been happier with a phone in my life. Vzw sucks @** at everything but its data speeds so we turn to developers for our updates straight from AOSP and the CM team

Yeah I have been noticing crazy touch and brightness issues. Previously on 4.1 builds everything was fine. Hopefully everything is fixed and back to normal.
