To shut off the notifications(Homer’s Voice) on the Android, go to
settings then to apps find the tapped out app, open it and just under
force stop there is a show notifications box uncheck it, and that should
shut Homer up!

I haven’t seen a way to turn off notifications yet. I uninstalled it due to the annoying alerts.

But…if you were to compare the money/XP from a 24 hour task versus doing a 1 hour task 24 times, you get a significant amount more of each from the lesser tasks you have to do more often. That’s the trade off

Tried this out on my work issued iPad last Spring and the freemium got WAY in the way. You get to the point where you can’t get any more donuts. This does not stop the game but makes everything you do take FOREVER and there will be things you cannot do unless you pay.

If I knew that going in, I would have gone right in to making Homer do a 24 hour movie marathon. I didn’t realize it was real time. Now that I am more familiar with that it is, I’m having more fun.

That’s kind of the point of the game…it’s time based, so you have to wait. I like that, because I can make them do 8-10-12 hour activities and then not bother with it until after I get off work. That also works well for when I’m going to bed. I prefer not having to micro manage the game. Just my opinion though. The doughnuts thing is kind of crappy, because there’s some things you would have to purchase them for in order to buy. I dislike that!
