iGoogle is set to be discontinued. Maybe Google Now is a replacement.

“iGoogle will be retired on November 1, 2013. The mobile version was retired on July 31, 2012.

How did you come to this decision?

You can do most of this with iGoogle on your desktop chrome browser if you set it up to what you like, does everything but the google cards.

Well like a month back code was added to the dev builds of chrome to set up for support of google now, so this is not news to me.

yeah, i get GTalk notifications all the time if i have gmail open in a different tab.

Chrome has had notifications for a long time now. These just look a bit different. I don’t think this has anything to do with Goog Now directly.

Having said that I fully expect “Now” to make it to Chrome.

I just noticed in my chrome when I type weather it gives me a card like on my phone.

I hate pop ups. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. It would be better if they did it like it is in android where it is integrated into the upper “notification” bar.

Works for me. I think a Google Now dashboard would kinda be nice. Able to manage Sports teams from desktop and synced with your phone. Google Alerts like Weather Watches and Warnings popping notifications to take cover when a tornado may be near.
