At the rate Android is going they’ll be lucky to have 1.5% by 2020, Apple has now dropped to 22%, the SG3 out sold iphones and that is just one phone of a plethora of Android devices. Iphones only sold 10 million worldwide last year.

I can see there being a third major competitor that actually has more than a 10% market share, and Android will probably stay at around 35-40%, iOS at 30-35% and the third at the lowest. If apple continues to not innovate then their numbers will be lower, but I hope innovation continues from all the companies because It’s tiring to see the same old things from everyone

Okay, that’s good then. I don’t care what happens just as long as Google rids the planet of Apple once and for all! Or possibly builds a Texas-sized Android so it can just devour Apple in one sitting. That would be cool.

First off, I love Android and hate Apple. But, I think that this case is backwards. I honestly do believe that Samsung set out to copy certain elements of the iPhone with certain earlier models of their Galaxy phones (S, Ace, Gio, etc.). There are plenty of similarities that no one else in Android is doing like the centered physical Home button. But, the Galaxy Nexus was completely unique and should have never been included and that is where things lose all credibility for me. Also, copying a few stylistic ideas should not be a patent offense and should have never been worth a ruling of a billion dollars. But, I do still believe that there was some willful design copying by Samsung in there.

They’ll still be around because you’ll always have fanboys, but the company will be much smaller and only control about a 15% market-share in the U.S.

Of course it was un-willful the Galaxy devices are nothing like an iPhone, they are better in almost every way. Apple just has some bulls*** patents that they never deserved in the first place.

You know what man…I am so hoping that is the case. That they are barely a name anymore. In 2020 I’m hoping Google becomes a superpower so that they can finally destroy Apple once and for all!

It just sucks for all the poor saps that will lose their jobs due to Apple’s downfall. But then again, they knew what they were getting themselves into when working at the sad excuse for a company.
