Yea I use mine all the time. No way I would have paid $300 for it but I got it for $100 on Craigslist and it’s well worth it. I use it to power my outdoor speakers which don’t need that much power and then I watch a fair amount of movies/youtube videos on the TV with it.

It’s because the hardware is going to be refreshed. There’s no way that they’d ship the same device with no changes to the chipset (at minuimum) over a year after it was originally conceived.

it has miracast in 4.2 but google hasnt updated 7 yet to give you the option

No, the N7 really shows its budget roots in beans totally unable to stream anything or offer any kind of video-out connectivity.
