It depends what phone you have. The T-Bolt battery sucked, but now I have a DNA and lasts me day. Moto HD Maxx would last longer than mine. T-Mobile also has blost besides on its Nexus 4. Also you can disable some apps, thanks to android.

Yup. Which is why they refarmed and put 3G from AWS to PCS. Funny how people though they refarmed just for a phone, when It was to make signal consistent and LTE

You know this means those with a Nexus 4 can switch on their LTE radio and hop on T-Mobile’s LTE network.

Give it a go and post some speed tests…

definitely read that thread. i believe you should actually request the transfer on GV THEN get a new # on My Verizon. my bad!

that does make it trickier. my one bit of advice is that i managed to keep my (single line) VZW number by requesting a new number for that line on My Verizon online and then immediately going to Google Voice and transferring my old number ($20 fee, i think). this is the method i used:

He sounds “lost” because HIS experiences in HIS area don’t match up with YOURS? He lives roughly 1500 miles away from you. Do you really think T-Mobile’s network, or any mobile network for that matter, is the same across the entire US? How stupid are you?

Yeah, but I can get 5GB/month prepaid plus home WiFi for my wife and me for the same price as T-Mo unlimited. I’d be paying T-Mo what I was paying Verizon for unlimited data, save that with T-Mo I’d get unlimited minutes (which I wouldn’t use) and texts (which I also wouldn’t use; thanks, Google Voice!).

I would be all for that, but the only people who would get it are us geeks, and we already know the score. The telcoms need something to hang their marketing on for the masses, so they’re going to go with the recognisable moniker. The average Joe thinks, “Dang; 4 is more than 3. 4G must be better!” They’re right, but for the wrong reasons. Things like 4G and forthcoming 5G are now meaningless marketing phrases, while people like you and I will now look at things like HSPA+42 and LTE-A to understand the network capabilities we’re running on.
