We DO NOT have 30,000 firearm deaths annually. Try less than 500!
In fact for the last 5+ years murders with hammers and clubs have exceeded the number of murders by a rifle. Are you going to ban the sale of hammers now?

Honestly I don’t see the need for an AR for myself either. But I feel that if I did decide I needed one that I have the right to buy one. Law enforcement would be fine if we each had our own officer. In times of major crisis law enforcement can’t be everywhere. The only ones we can count on are ourselves.

Because of all this guns are flying off the shelves Nationwide. And also because of this I am considering being price gouged and getting an AR while I can. They are sold out across the country with a many month backorder. Supply and demand at its worst. Those that have them are making a fortune.

When Obama does this he makes a fortune for the gun manufactures and dealers. They are having a hard time keeping guns on the shelves.

In New York you now can’t even own a handgun magazine that holds more than 7 rounds. Oddly most full size handguns hold more than that from the factory. They have one year to sell their magazines out of state. New York is fully in the hands of nut jobs. You cannot legally buy a soda larger than 32 oz… Lol their people can’t even be trusted to drink pop.

It is an attack on th law abiding only because the criminals don’t care. But New York with a stroke of the pen made most handgun owners criminals since their guns hold more than 7 bullets. And how the heck do they buy magazines that only hold a few rounds? They will have to be made special. If found in your own home with more than 7 bullets in your gun you will be charged with a misdemeanor. And then of course probably not be permitted to own a gun.

Luckily I don’t live in New York. If I did I would be considered a criminal based on their new law.

This will not prevent the horrible shootings from happening. Sick people and criminals don’t follow the law. Only the innocent are being punished with the 7 round law.

Also I can swap magazines and continue fire in 3 seconds.

I hate that little kids were killed by some armed maniac. And something needs to be done. But sadly this is the wrong direction and won’t help a bit. But the Dems have wanted to do this for some time and don’t want this good crisis to go to waste.

Sorry… I will drop the subject since this is not the place.

There are conversion kits for AR-15s and I “believe” its a loophole to own a legal automatic firearm, but yeah I get your point. Thing is, special checks or not, my stepdad isn’t the most mentally stable individual.

No didn’t forget. They still have government today, Is it still called Parliament? What you don’t realize is that we weren’t acknowledging them as OUR government. We made a Declaration of Independence, then a Constitution, then we made Amendments to that Constitution for anything we might have missed. The gun laws were the second one. It was kind of an “ohhh yeah….” moment.

It was 13 states. 13 United States. America was one colony.

Upvote for the soda crack lol. I just don’t see the point in AR for anyone outside or government and law enforcement. What recreational use do they possibly provide? I agree in innocence before guilt; just can’t really see much innocent use of any AR or much of the way the Second Amendment is being used as a shield. BTW, in NYS it’s easier to legally obtain a rifle than a handgun. Not perfect here unfortunately

Of course if you are carrying it should be legal. Because if you were carrying illegally you would be breaking the law.

I also agree nobody should be carrying an assault weapon… Because that is not legal already… Lol My permit to carry conceal is for a handgun not a rifle. But I have no problem with the owning of an AR if you pass your states criteria and are not a criminal. It is already against the law to do illegal things with any guns.

There are also police officers that should not be officers or carry a gun.

Keep in mind in this country you are not a criminal until you break the law. That has not changed in 240 years. If you are an officer I am surprised you are against peoples rights.
