Yeah it seems somewhat pointless. Not to mention how overpriced they currently are.

I’ve yet to find a reason to replace my 1080P Samsung Plasma 50”, its colors are insanely accurate. Had some friends over for the playoffs Saturday and one of my friends just bought a 60” LED LG TV and he said he was more impressed by my Plasma’s color accuracy compared to his and it cost him nearly 3K.

The only reason I’d want to get a new TV is to reduce power consumption and heat production (One of the faults of plasmas), the quality of newer TV’s haven’t impressed me in the least. The 4K’s have, but the price and lack of content definitely makes them an odd choice right now.

That’s awesome, I wonder what you can do with a rooted W/D combo. Can’t wait to find out. Maybe you could make toast in the dryer or set the washer to pet grooming mode, the possibilities are endless.
