Rovio Hosting Winter Sale on All HD Game Titles For Android, iOS, and PC

For a limited time, Rovio is hosting a special deal on their HD titles through Google Play, iTunes, PC, and the Amazon Appstore. From what I saw on Google Play, all four of the HD games listed below are only $1, which is pretty killer. Only a buck for HD Angry Birds Star Wars? Yes, please!

What’s the difference between the hd versions? Tablet optimizations? The descriptions don’t say what’s different about em.

  If you’re not able to search in the iTunes store and find them on your own, follow the link at the end of the story to the Rovio site. They have iTunes links there.

So far it’s not on sale for the Windows 8 store….

  It’s not on sale via any of the places to purchase the PC version (Windows 8 store, Intel AppUp, or direct from Rovio), nor is it on sale in Mac Appstore.
  
  Sadly, the page that the story links to doesn’t actually say that the PC versions are on sale. It says “Available from Appstore, Google Play, and Amazon” (with “Appstore” meaning iTunes Appstore).

Anyone know how to buy an HD app with only a phone? Plan on buying a Nexus 10 in next week, would like to buy the apps now.

  When it was first released, I bought Angry Birds Star Wars HD the normal way with a phone (Galaxy S3). There was no need to do anything out of the ordinary. The HD Angry Birds apps aren’t just for tablets.

    I was just able to buy Star Wars HD (Galaxy Nexus). But when I tried Space, it says device incompatible!

      I guess like almost all apps in the Play Store, it’s supported on some devices but not on others.

It doesn’t appear the sale price has gone into effect for PC versions yet. I’m loving Angry Birds Star Wars on my Note 2, and I’d really like to give a spin on my Ideapad Yoga.
