Does the direct call function work for anybody? I tried putting number into every field in every conceivable way but the “call” button wouldn’t show up.

Just put the phone number where it says Location.

Most big Business corporations have Guided tours, I mean you can even tour military bases if you want as long as you sign up 6 months to a year in advance. And tours are almost always free too. I’ve taken the Anhieser Busch Beer tour like 15 times, living in St.Louis, and you get free beer from all the beers they make across the world at the end of the tour.
I’m guessing if you call the main Google number for customer service or the PR number they can direct you to somebody to find out about a tour of the campus. Tours are great for Public Relations, which is why Business’ do them.

I don’t seem to be able to get location suggestions when typing in the “location” field. Only recent searches or contacts seem to come up. For example, shouldn’t typing “Starbucks” in the location field bring up a list of nearby Starbucks locations to select?

Unless I missed it when are they going to allow you to change the color of appointments in app? I can do it in browser but I would really like to do it in my app as that is what I usually make my appointments in.

Same. Just freeze it in TB. Otherwise double calendar notifications. Kind of annoying.

And I think they’re going to merge some others too such as Navigation, Maps, and Street View. Look at the new iOS Maps for a preview. <- My personal opinion.

I had the same problem. Thanks. I just disabled it rather than actually removing it. It doesn’t take up that much space, really.

This update is for the calendar app from the play store and stock android. Since you’re on an AOSP ROM just delete Calendar.apk from system/app and install the calendar from the Play Store as a system app in it’s place. Don’t delete calendarproviders.apk though, it is needed for either calendar to function properly.

Simple, they have different teams. Ideally, they should create a unified mobile app team. The number of Google apps are getting to a point that is unmanageable. I couldn’t even fit all of them into one folder.
