Verizon laser etched into the glass so every picture has a see through verizon logo in the middle of it. I wonder if it’ll be priced like a $10 tablet add on for those on ripoff shared plans.

I don’t take any pictures, mainly because the gnex has a mediocre camera and there’s not much interesting to take pictures of in a small town.

An oversized, LTE-equipped, mediocre $499 P&S camera is already a mistake. If this thing was $299 (or less), wi-fi only, and had a 4.3 or 4.5″ screen, it might warrant a 2nd look. But right now it looks like the carriers are trying to force connected cameras down our throats in 2013 the way they did tablets in 2011.

That said, I think a skinned version of Android would make a lot of sense for a smart camera. I just got a Canon Powershot SD320HS with wi-fi and its wireless implementation is absolutely atrocious. I’d actually probably rather have BT than a broken wi-fi on a camera. The resistive touchscreen is also atrocious. In fact, I just pretend that the touchscreen and wi-fi functions do not exist, which is a shame, as it’s an otherwise great little camera.

I would imagine tablet or less anything more than $10 is a joke for a camera data plan
