Sprint Stays on Track, Lights Up a Few East Coast 4G LTE Markets

This morning, and over the course of the next week, the following cities will start to experience Sprint’s 4G LTE. The network has been talking about their coming improvements, which means you can expect to see a lot more cities getting the green light in the coming months. For Sprint customers, this is great.

  • Anderson, Ind.
  • Clarke County, Va./Jefferson County, W.Va.
  • Harrisburg/Carlisle/Hershey, Pa.
  • Hagerstown, Md./Martinsburg, W.Va.
  • Harrisonburg, Va.
  • Muncie, Ind.
  • Peabody, Mass.
  • Salina, Kan.
  • Shenandoah County, Va.
  • South Bend/Mishawaka, Ind.
  • Winchester, Va.

Sprint’s 4G LTE can officially be found in 43 markets. It definitely doesn’t touch Verizon or AT&T’s yet, but they will get there.

id be happy with real 3g their 3g is slower than t-mobiles edge. I’m in a large market in north va and data is horrid here.

  • Mat Collins

I’d be happy with ANY Sprint service in my area, never mind adding 4G.

  • bkosh84

I was just in Chicago over the holiday weekend and they had 4G up and running in certain areas (Northern Chicago and parts of The Loop) and it was awesome! They’ll get it up and running, but it’s gonna take a bit longer, but it’ll be worth it.

  • imns

bring it to NYC already! I’ll switch from Verizon in a heartbeat when that happens.

  • chris125

Well now that they have lte in my area may consider switching when my contract is up. Would save some money and not have to deal with Verizon’s bs

  • DC_Guy

What about Washington DC Metro area? Geez!

  • Greg Williams

None of those places are cities. They’re a bunch of little towns and rural areas. Wtf Sprint?

    • NAH_HAV

I was getting LTE in NYC for the first time, over this past weekend.

      • jason jason

        not on sprint you werent

        • NAH_HAV

It’s there in Midtown. 42nd. Also uptown, around 140th (where I was), and I’m told you can get it in the BX too, but who goes there?

    • The 47K residents of Salina, Kansas are very offended 😛

    • chris125

Harrisburg is the capital….. Far from little rural town

      • Greg Williams

I’ve been to Harrisburg, PA. It’s not that far from a little rural town. Just because it’s the capital doesn’t make it a Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.

        • chris125

          It’s still pretty large though

as far as people using their network its not a lot.

  • good to see their network is getting a few new places. im just hoping that in the near future, their 3g will actually be usable and they’ll have a decent amount of 4glte coverage so i could consider switching to them.
