It is 500. It sounds like a bit much but consider this. Since it is able to run full Android and all of its apps that means it has considerably different parts on the inside than your typical camera around its range. It has a better processor, RAM, sensors, etc. Not to mention the beautiful display on the back. Seeing that typically a phone with these specs run around 600-700(with tax included) these days and tablets typically sit around 500+ it makes sense as a price point. So essentially you are getting a smartphone that would usually cost 600 bucks at least with more advanced camera optics and a better sensor in it for 500. When put that way, I think it sounds like a pretty darn great deal. When they first announced it I thought for sure it would be around 800. XD

I use EyeFi with my sony dsc-tx-something camera and send them to my note 2 and I’m pleased..

I have EyeFi in all my cameras. Takes about 3 seconds to copy a photo to my Android phone or tablet. And of course the tablet has a way better screen than this camera, making photo editing real easy.

i’ve been highly considering going to Straight Talk and buying phones out right. Verizon’s unlimited data that is so rare to come by and that I somehow am still grandfathered in is the only reason it hasn’t happened yet.

Check the coverage maps. AT&T is useless to me here. I’m giving T-Mobile another try with the Nexus 4 and if it is even remotely close to the quality of service I get from Verizon then I’ll probably drop my Verizon service.
