Probably the screen. I read in earlier blog posts that the screen resolution will be WVGA 480 x 800 resolution like the original Stratosphere. That’s a joke by today’s standards. If it’s not at least qHD 540 x 960 like many of the high end phones from a year ago (and also the Droid 4) then the screen will be disappointing. The problem is I did a search and couldn’t find a single phone from Samsung that’s currently available that has a qHD 540 x 960 resolution so it’s highly unlikely that this will have it. If the screen was going to be HD 720p resolution like the Galaxy S3 then it would have showed up in some of the leaks by now and a 4″ 720p screen or even a 4.3″ 720p screen would have a very high pixel density making it more expensive to manufacture. Lastly, the Galaxy S3 Mini has a 4″ WVGA 480 x 800 pixel super AMOLED screen so my bet is that the Stratosphere 2 will have the same screen as that one.

The keyboard looks like a joke! A few people mentioned palm as a comparison and I would say that they are spot on! Regardless of specs (which aren’t very amazing at all) this phone is not even a poor substitute to the Droid line of physical keyboard phones (the D2G even had a 1.2 ghz dual core processor…)

Don’t do it! If this is anything like the original stratosphere in build quality then keep that OG for another few months because I have several friends who jumped ship, kept having problems, and have been through several (by several I mean 4 and each have been through at least 3…not a joke)

I am with you here in that I would love to see if Motorola could develop something or at least make me want to wait and see instead of jumping ship for the Note 2. I have the OG, D2G, D3, and the D4 so I love have a keyboard, but the massive screen of the Note 2 makes up for keyboard screens being too small…and after playing with T-Mobile’s version I know that it’s extremely responsive, which was my only concern. A 4.3″ screen would be an amazing addition to the phone, even though I would be a fan of a 4.5″ with “edge to edge” display.
I would much prefer a quad core processor with at least 1.5 ghz or even a dual core pushing 1.8 ghz but 2 gb of ram regardless because 1 gb just doesn’t cut it anymore. With the keyboard in mind; the D4 had the best keyboard by far, so something up that alley would be wonderful.

I’m up to replace my aging original Droid in January. I’m not impressed with the Droid 4′s pentile screen, so this looks like it might work. Everything else is a big jump up from the Droid, I just hope the screen is higher-res than 800×480.

The walmart ad says “super amoled” for stratosphere ii and “hd super amoled” for s iii http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/BlackFridayScans/WalMart/31 . Early rumors have been similarly disappointing.

Why makers refuse to put out a high-end keyboard phone is beyond me.
