I’ve had LTE, and can still use LTE if I want to. The thing is, I don’t want to. I’m sure those Verizon commercials about people hurling lightning javelins are doing a great job at making you think that it’s fast, but it’s really not noticeably different from T-Mobile’s HSPA+ in my area(Metro Massachusetts).

I’m in complete agreement with Google that LTE isn’t mature enough yet, and I completely agree with their unspoken reason for forgoing LTE: Screw Verizon. They royally messed up the Galaxy Nexus and continue to stifle other phones with their restrictions(Google Wallet, tethering, updating).

The Nexus 4 will last me until VoLTE is a reality, and until LTE is worth it in general. Probably longer.

The battery life and GPU performance is what killed it for me. For the same price you’ll get 2-3 hours MORE battery life and probably twice the GPU performance choosing an ipad. For people like me, that primarily use email and browse, the ipad resolution is more than fine. People will flood in to defend the Nexus 10 but there is no excuse for the piss-poor battery life! Also, Google knew that pushing those pixels would strain the GPU, so they should have made the device a few MM’s thicker, added a larger battery, and clocked the GPU higher. This would have given the device a longer run time and better overall performance. The OS also still needs work. It needs to be “lighter” because there is no reason for these iOS devices to be spanking Android with equal hardware.

I’m simply saying that Home Office will require us to have it done by then. Whether or not it is there, or for sale is up to the distributors, and your local Wal*mart Electronics department manager, as they give the go-ahead to set up the units. But as soon as they get them in (and hopefully AFTER the 13th) you should be able to buy one. But with the Windows 8 Release fiasco, you may find a store willing to sell it to you before then…

what kind of speeds do u get with tmobile on the HSPA+? i have verizon and its my brother (galaxy s3), myself (nexus) and my mom (dumb phone) and we pay like $180 a month. both smartphones have unlimited data. tmobile has cheap ass plans but im worried about speed. i mean anything faster than 10mbp/s is fine for me.

Who cares about that site. 95% of the items they sell there are cheaper than most every store. I rather pay lower prices than worry about the.clientele.
