It’s really weird to see people rooting for at&t. Verizon use to be like the golden child, but now it seems like their reputation really went to crap. I know I use to be happy to pay a premium for Verizon’s service, but now I can’t wait for a decent alternative to jump ship to.

Try getting a flat tire or engine problems or some other type of emergency without the access to searching, especially in the middle of nowhere with a vzw signal that I know tmobile won’t have, especially in MO and IL away from the major highways.

couldnt use my phone on att after sandy came through town…vzw was fine. Whatever hopes I had of leaving vzw to save some money via att contract/prepaid are out the window forever.

Right there with you, paid 3 ETF’s to get away from TMo myself..

Had the service for about a year, the billing was more often incorrect each month, was straight up lied to about an upgrade by a sales associate, and when VZW rolled out 4G BEFORE TMo even had 3G in my area that was the final straw..

The extra $30/mo is more than worth it IMO.. Those that give up their unlimited to jump to TMo will learn sooner or later.

I have data anywhere I go. Most of the time LTE, but an occasional full bars of 3g in the “extended” LTE spots. I stream pandora and rhapsody every day in the car, and having the music stop half way through my drive is annoying. Do I “need” data service everywhere I go? No, but I’ve grown accustomed to having uninterrupted service and I’m willing to pay extra to make sure it happens.

Summers can get pretty hot, but winters are mild and we don’t have to deal with snow. Hurricanes are a bother, but even those only come every 5-10 years on average. My biggest complaint about our weather is the scattered rain. Its unpredictable and tends to come on the weekend when I take the jetski out.. Damn rain.. lol

I’m sticking with Verizon and my unlimited plan until they pry it from me. Then I will likely consider T-Mobile pre-paid.

The only thing golden about california is the equivalent price to live there. I don’t see anything so special about it. I have tons of beach where I live in Houston.

Does it seem insane to anyone else that you have four competing companies all putting up their own towers to roll out LTE, which is supposed to be a universal standard? Imagine if such a thing had occurred 80 years ago when they were laying down copper for landline phone service.

This is one case where the government should have stepped in and prevented this waste and poor customer experience, especially given that landlines will go away at some point.

hey alot of people love this place. idk what people see in those other boring states like the midwest or the south i would never live there. its the price u pay for living in the golden state. we got the beaches, the nice weather,plus a whole lot more. maybe u just had a bad vibe but the other guy that commented love it. he said the people were friendly and would move here if he could
