Video: A Day in the Life of LeBron James With a Galaxy Note 2

YouTube Preview Image

Now that our jealous attitude towards LeBron James’ special edition, engraved Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has died down a bit, he’s returned to show us exactly what he has been up to with his new phone. Think haircuts, taking pictures of beautiful ocean views, hitting up a food truck, receiving texts from Magic Johnson, chatting with old coaches, watching dunk videos on YouTube, snapping pics of his new $300 Nikes, and of course, documenting the night that he is to receive his first ever NBA championship ring (which is tonight).

  • MelGuill

What apps were he using in that commercial? (Red afro & facetime-like apps)

  • Victor

Hmm.. For a moment, i though this was Akron, OH (you know, where LeBron grew up).
    :-)

  • Jack

    He’s still a bitch!

  • MichaelCrackMonkey

OK Looks good but will it actually get through a day doing all that stuff without needing a charge?

    • Fattie McDoogles

Thats what the reviews say… The battery is huge. And they say it does great even with a screen that big.

  • speraider430

Samsung has it figured out. Marketing to the masses is all about making a product “cool” just as much as it is functionality. What is going to make a teenager ask for the Note 2 for Christmas? LeBron has one that’s why. I like the Moto commercials but I don’t feel like they have the popular appear Samsung has.

Think of the great commercials that made apple succeed, 1984, the dancing shadow iPod. These didn’t show product functionality but made the product look fun to use!

    • Fattie McDoogles

I would even take your point a step further and argue that a product doesn’t have to be functional as long as its cool. Look at the original iPhone… It lacked a LOT of the functionality that most phones had at the time. But it was cool so everyone wanted one.

  • MentatYP

Does this mean I have to stop hating on LeBron since he’s now an Android-ite?

    • Leo

Did you ever had a reason to hate him other than the fact he is not playing for you team? JKJKJK

      • Fattie McDoogles

        +1 well played lol

  • Will

Anybody know where I can find that hat?

  • Laqueenzy Jackson

That huge phone makes his IQ look even smaller. But his bank account still looks large.

    • Colin Zack

      …wut

  • http://twitter.com/SuperBigBlack Jason James

maybe Google will use his hands to show how great the nexus 10 fits in your hands lol!

Note 2 looks tiny in his hands. sheesh

  • Ron_Swanson

    Suck on that Apple!!!

I thought this was supposed to be a commercial for the Note 2. I only see a Galaxy S3. Needs banana for size comparison.

    • Fattie McDoogles

LBJ… is a VERY large man.

    • Fattie McDoogles

LBJ… is a VERY large man.

  • kfath1978

I still hate him…and I will never buy from a company that he endorses. J/k…but I really do hate him!

  • nightscout13

Someone needs to tell him about Nair. He’s got a lot of in grown hairs.

  • TheDrunkenClam

    “Earned 1″
Guess he couldn’t fit “The Refs Gave Me 1″ on his license plate.

    • jjjjj

Yeah….just like they gave him a gold medal in the olympics, MVP of the league, MVP of the finals. Something tells me you are just one of those bitter people who had when others succeed.

      • TheDrunkenClam

        Whoah, easy there booster seat.
Something tells me you are just one of those people incapable of taking a joke.
I acknowledge that Bron Bron is one of the most talented athletes to ever live (Jordan was better). But you can’t honestly sit there and say that Lebron didn’t get away with so many calls. And he traveled more than Anthony Bourdain.
That was a joke too, in case you couldn’t tell.

        • http://twitter.com/BlackBlizzNerd Ben Landwehr

Come on now, TDC, you should know there is no such thing as jokes on the internet by now!

        • michael arazan

I saw Jordan play in the 90’s with the bulls. Jordan could Fly! Seriously, Jordan could jump from before the free through line and fly to and above the rim. If Jordan ever did the triple jump in the olympics he would probably be the world record holder till this day.

          • TheDrunkenClam

Everyone wants to win. We yearn to win everything we set out to do in life.
But no one truly hates losing like Michael Jordan does.

  • Nazzi_Muhammad

Celtics are gonna punk the heat tonight.

    • 03JagSTR

      Oops! Maybe next time.

      • Nazzi_Muhammad

I didn’t mean the Celtics were gonna punk the Heat. What I meant to say was D-Bag Wade is a Punk.

    • Fattie McDoogles

How did that work out for them?

    • Fattie McDoogles

How did that work out for them?

      • Nazzi_Muhammad

        What, you LeBron’s gay lover?

  • Ibrick

    hmm.. just like my days.

  • cizzlen

I’m buying a Galaxy Note 2. Ever since those Nike commercials I’ve been asking myself, WWLBJD. Now I know.

    • RichFromBX

What Would Lyndon Baines Johnson Do?

  • Malikai Looper

I’m getting this video is private?

    • NorCalGuy

got the same thing on my phone. Worked on the computer though.

  • Stephen Freeman

People can say what they will of Android and Samsung, but their commercials certainly can have a warming and comedic effect.

  • TheFirstUniverseKing

Neat commercial. Doesn’t highlight much that makes the Note II unique, but cool commercial nonetheless.

  • Freddy

The GN2 looks small in his hand!

    • kwong

Agreed, should have been a Nexus 7 commercial with those hands ;)

    • New_Guy

Goes to show how enormous that guy is.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Nicholas-Day/100001310977448 Nicholas Day

No wonder it’s unlisted, what a horrible commercial.
