Unless you’re seeing something I’m not, Tony, it’s unlimited data with 5GB at HSPA+ speeds. That very well might be enough to sway quite a few.

No, I wouldn’t ever pay $600 off contract for any phone. They lose their value way too fast. I just got a 9 month old Galaxy Nexus for $200. I would pay $350 for a new Nexus, but lack of LTE rules it out right off the bat.

After the $35 between Google wallet and play store credit, I really don’t care. Then again I bought mine week 1. That’s the price you pay for being an early adopter, and $15 isn’t that much.

I know, and yet people cry they aren’t included as if they’d pay 600 for an off contract GSM/LTE nexus. I know I would, but I will gladly take HSPA+42 and save a few hundred.

I’m thinking ill keep my Galaxy Nexus on VZW and flash 4.2 as soon as it becomes available. Get me an HSPA N7 and get on with AT&T now that they have HSPA in my area, tether to my nexus when coverage is not good.

This is what I’ve been pondering for a while, the chip set totally supports it. It’d just be a matter of making it happen, and making it compatible with Verizon’s network, which is really the red tape of the matter. It’d be awesome if I could buy one from Google and drop my VZW LTE MicroSim in it out of my Galaxy Nexus and voila.

Yes, I’m sure that’s their message.

Sorry we have better coverage and a better network than everyone else in the country, we just pay for it with dealing with a terrible company. I’m not sure why Google would want to feel that way, they’re missing out on a very large user base by not offering a Verizon compatible version.
