If you go into the history of Google, Apple, and Microsoft you will see law suits over similar things, does that mean that you are going to stop buying Android Phones and Computers. Hell Microsoft has been hit with Anti-trust lawsuits over IE, will you not use Windows because of that.

You seem to have a psychological problem that has become prevalent in recent years called, “NeckBeard Entitlement.”

So you’re basis for your distrust of Sony is what happened with other divisions of Sony? I mean you yourself said it was Apples and Oranges.

You even mentioned OtherOs(a feature *I* used and don’t care that it’s gone btw) wtf does OtherOs have to do with the build quality/radios/battery life/etc…. Aka the important things to consider when buying a phone?! You’re seriously gonna argue about something that Sony(formally Sony Ericsson) literally had NOTHING to do with as a point and reason?

I’m not saying that the respective Sony divisions aren’t guilty of doing shady and downright horrible things to their paying customers, but your argument is not only invalid but so far out of left field that I need binoculars to see it.

If you don’t like/want the device that’s fine. I’m just saying your reasons are stupid.

Because its a nexus, i think the specs will be there, my disinterest in it has nothing to do with possible specs, for arguments sake i was assuming this phone has everything i’m looking for specs wise, i personally still would not be interested, because of sony, my personal preference, sorry about the confusion. But your right, it might not be a beast, this could be a mid-range also with specs that, well i wont say outdated, but maybe not flagship, we could have a couple middies from sony and lg, and a couple high end from say sammy and htc, with the wildcard being moto.

look, its personal distrust of sony, not sony “hate”. i gave my preference on not being interested in sony, i am aware that they are all different divisions, but each of these things i listed are different divisions, Playstation, Sony Music, etc. So i don’t know what your point is.

Never anywhere did i say that they should be allowed a nexus phone, or allowed to use android or even that nobody should buy one, all i stated was i am not interested in a sony phone for the reasons i listed, i also said it is up to everyone to make up there own minds, i just thought it was interesting that everyone seems be jumping at this an no, absolutely no one mentioned anything about their track record in terms of data security, that’s all, nothing more nothing less.

I applaud sony for contributes to the AOSP (assuming your correct on that, i have no reason to doubt you) but what do those oranges have to do with my apples? If you trust sony, that’s great, that’s your prerogative, i’m not telling anyone to do anything, my dislike of sony for corporate practices (or non-practices) is no different then someone not liking moto for failing to upgrade in a timely matter, or people not wanting the lg because of storage space or past crappy product or service.

LOL. I dont think Google will choose Sony because Sony is not in the top 10 smartphone brand best seller in the world. I think Google will choose brand Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola and Huawei because that brands in the top 10 smartphone brand best seller in the world.

I would probably take the LG over the Sony but if this is true, it’s very very exciting that Google is finally going to have a whole fleet of Nexus phones – each showcasing the various OEM’S. I like the sound of that. My prediction: Google will offer several Nexus phones through the year with higher end flagship phones for major OS releases.
