I am using my xyboard 8.2 right now with ics. I received the update last night! So sick! I think this is the best tablet. Battery improved dramatically as well. I went was on 2 hur tango call. Usec 10% only. Amazing.

All I know is that the update came to my tablet last night. I did not jump through any hoops, get an invitation to be part of the soak test, or notified that I was part of a soak test. I’m not trolling, and I don’t appreciate the tone of your reply. I did make a joke about the number of people who own this wonderful tablet since everyone else on the site seems to think it’s horrible, I am quite aware that more than four people bought the tablet and that it can’t go out to everyone today. My intention was to let you and any other Xyboard 8.2 owners know that the update is in fact live and being distributed by Verizon. Since you have the WiFi version then it probably doesn’t do you any good to know this, and the information provided by Motorola that the DROID update started yesterday doesn’t help you either. If for some reason you have a problem with my claim to have received the update, then feel free to go stick your head in a pig.

Trolling? I only ask because if you are part of the soak YOU WOULD KNOW THAT, soak test’s only go out to specific devices and the users have to jump through some hoops to get it.

Plus, it takes a few days to a week to roll out to everyone else AFTER a soak. So if the soak started yesterday, theres no way its rolling out to everyone today.

There is a recent apps on screen button, it’s been there since the initial software release. I’m not sure what they mean by that statement. It’s probably just written by a marketing person who didn’t know how to explain the behavior.

I picked mine up half an hour ago and was greeted by the ‘ready to install’ notification. Pretty sweet so far.

If the vzw version gets it before my wifi only version ill be pissed…

And for those saying they should skip ics and go to jb instead, i dont know about you but i cant handle another few months on the existing os, its slow, choppy and just bad. Really really bad.
