Video: Local Fox News Thinks the iPhone 5 has Laser Keyboard and Holographic Images

Are you reading this while in line at your local Apple store waiting for the sixth installment of the iPhone dubbed the iPhone 5? If so, I’m hoping you’re not waiting for the iPhone that Fox News apparently thinks Apple is releasing. According to this video, the iPhone 5 is “sleeker, has a laser keyboard, holographic images, and other cool new features.” To top it off, you can grab this new iPhone for just $200!Β

Is it that hard to at least make sure it doesn’t have a laser keyboard? Maybe they’re confusing these specs with the rumored features of the iPhone 5S? *Smh*

  • Wouldn’t have been surprised had it been a small town in rural american but it was New York City! >_<

  • sk102704

I would only by an iPhone if it actually had those features.

  • damn i want the iphone that can do that and looks like that

  • Trevor

Wow, that’s just pathetic. You’d thing a NEWS station would get the facts straight before reporting it.

  • Mario Mendez

    FOX… smh

  • dshizzel

    Aaaaggghhhh!! Fox LIIIIIIIESSSSS!!!!

  • DrAndyRoid

I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple made that fake iph*ne 5 video themselves to add to their already delusional views of their own “revolutionary” products.

  • sport

That’s a great idea, though, to incorporate a laser keyboard in a phone/tablet.

  • Are they even–they can’t really believe that it has all that when none of it is anywhere on the Official Specs……….da f

  • garrett

I like how everyone says they don’t care about fox and yet feels the need to argue about it

    • I like how everyone else misses the point, thinks that the others are defending Fox themselves, and feels the need to comment on it.

      • Garrett

Kinda how you just assumed that Im assuming people are defending fox? Hypocrite. And the point of this wasn’t focused on fox its self. Which was my point. Idiot.

        • That didn’t make sense on so many levels. I’ll reserve comment and just let you think you just destroyed me, e-tough guy.

  • Aardvark99

Whatever!!!! I’d never give up my Android’s force field generator, temporal phase adjuster, and matter compiler/decomplier!

  • This is not FoxNews as everyone knows it. This is a local Fox channel on the evening news. Not the same as Conservative FoxNews Channel.

  • Didn’t Nancy use this on Sundays Weeds?

In that case I will take 2 and 20 internetz please….

  • ddevito

    Jim Ryan laughs at you

  • Samvelavich

Cmon fox I expected more from you

  • Keii Graham

Fox News is shameless, they’re totally ripping off The Onion’s style of reporting.

  • George264

Lmfao. The iPhone 5 is the best thing Apple has ever made, it is amazing… etc.
Idiot. Been there since Thursday? WOW. If I were to buy it, better off pre-ordering it, and sitting down playing games waiting for it. People these days. Taking a week off of work to wait for a phone.

  • cgmartin33

F this! I’m getting out of this line! The only reason I camped out on the street like a homeless person rockin my black turtleneck was for the laser keyboard. I don’t need the holographic effects because even the first iPhone was magical.

  • jonkido

    it also grants wishes

  • summit1986

  • JoshHenry

also looks like they showed an iTouch when they were talking about how thin the device is. -___- Someone was clearly having a field day at work.

  • JoshHenry

Your kidding me… I WANT AN iPHONE 5 NOW!!!

  • Android1997

Doesn’t matter if it is a local. It was shown all over NY, parts of NJ and Cont.

  • joejoe5709

    ahahahahaha. That’s awesome. Great journalism!

  • Sean Wood

And again the news media has something wrong.. imagine that…

Thanks again to the Gorge B. administration for deregulating the news/media industry do the degree that they no longer have to be accountable for truthfulness or fact checking… though it has made me more efficient at double checking ALL the info I receive…

  • MrEnglish

I’ve pre-ordered mine and can’t wait, but this is just stupid reporting. Nobody that has even remotely watched this product thinks this is true. Just dumb. Not quite as dumb as people lining up days ahead of launch like lemmings on a cliff, but dumb nonetheless.

  • balthuszar

    also…iphone, iphone 2, iphone 3, iphone 3G, iphone 3GS, iphone 4, iphone 4S and iphone 5…that’s 8

    • Francisco Rodriguez

Not sure where you got that list from. It’s only been iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5

      • balthuszar

there wasnt an iphone 2 or 3? lol…who knew, they all look so much alike…also, it would make too much sense…thanks for the correction πŸ™‚

    • E Diddy

There never was an iPhone2 or iPhone 3….

    • LG71

I smell sarcasm, aren’t I? You just made my day brighter. Thank you.

  • balthuszar

so if i’m believing the majority of the posts here…this isnt fox news? it’s a local affiliate?

    • steelcity1

Correct. It is a local Fox station. I’m just not understanding why so many DL readers are jumping out to defend a news network. It is just a funny video. Is there such a thing as a Fox-Sheep? … Like a Man-Bear-Pig maybe?

      • Just the simple fact that the title is misleading. Again, there’s a difference between “Fox News” and a local news station that is a Fox affiliate. Not defending the stupidity or saying it’s not funny. I couldn’t care less about Fox News, but I think that if you’re going to report on false information you should be accurate in your reporting.

  • imns

Saying this is a local affiliate doesn’t make it any better. This is New York bloody City. There should be some sort of standard set here by the larger affiliates. I love how that isn’t even an iphone in the video but an ipod touch.

    • steelcity1

  • Carlos carrasquillo

    lol idiots

  • evltwn

At least they got one thing right… “the most amazing APPLE product ever.” Not the most amazing cell phone ever.
Whoever runs their research dept needs to be fired for letting them give misinformation. But it’s Fox News, shouldn’t be too surprised.

  • Diablo81588

They obviously saw the old 5 concept video someone made on YouTube. Just goes to show that there are as many stupid news reporters as there are sheep.

  • EDNYLaw

I’ve always called Apple the Republican party of the tech world. This just confirms my hypothesis.

  • IPhone owners were once seen as elitists. Now they are looked at dumb sheep. I wouldn’t own one for that reason alone. Jimmy Fallon’s skit and this news clip is hilarious.

    • joejoe5709

      Jimmy Kimmel?

      • Tyler Chappell

aww, he tried. Common mistake though, Fallon is in NYC and no one really cares about Kimmel and hasn’t for years.

  • MikeSaver

    hahah what?

  • SH

LOL at the people defending Fox news. Fox is a joke, local affiliates and corporate.

    • Nobody is defending anybody. Just pointing out there’s a big difference between Fox national news and a local affiliate.. no matter what one’s thoughts on Fox News is.

      • steelcity1

So you speak for everyone on here? It seems to me like people are defending Fox. The video is Fox News. It is obvious it is local Fox news… but who really cares? What bother pointing out the obvious unless you feel some need to make excuses for them.

        • I do not. And I now see that some are defending the actual Fox News outfit. I couldn’t care less about Fox News or any other news outfit. Also, after reading this story on several sites, you’d be surprised as to how many people the fact that it’s local is NOT obvious. Quite sad… But anyway, as I think I said in another reply to you – If you’re going to report on inaccuracy, report it accurately.

          • steelcity1

Maybe it isn’t obvious to everyone. I’ll give you that, but I just see the spinning FOX HD logo in the video and think to myself… this is FOX 5 News in HD. To me that is accurate to say it is Fox News. It seems like the beef everyone has that they didn’t go out of their way to say it was Fox 5 News. So because there is a missing “5” in the title everyone is up in arms that DL is some liberal news outlet trying to make Fox look dumb.

          • DL is going to vote for Obama – FACT! πŸ˜‰

  • Fox News made the mistake of thinking Apple was innovative.

  • kixofmyg0t

We need a email address, and phone number so we can explain just how retarded they look.

    • tomn1ce

just go to their facebook page, I’m pretty sure they have one of those…..lol…and call them out…

  • JoshGroff

    Obviously fake, but funny.

  • kevin

Anyone else notice how they didn’t even show the real IPhone 5 in this? smh im embarrassed to have that channel now…

    • Heh, that’s your local Fox News?

  • umgoblue80

They should also report that it flies and throw it up in the air, then cut away before it returns to the ground

  • Micky

I bet iphone lovers got wet whwn they saw this.

  • J Nano

Hahahahah. Lmao this is fing hillarious

  • A successful fox troll to iphail users

  • RoadsterHD1

Are you kidding me. Come Fox get you’re sh%& together. And that dude in line is a robot or brain washed. Maybe he should go on Droid life and see what’s really out there.

  • akazerotime

    Apple puppets…

  • mdpotter77

Love the comments from people talking about Fox News here….please tell me how your local affiliate news programs that syndicate with the Fox entertainment network have anything to do with Fox News! You and Droid Life are the stupid ones here….have a nice day knowing that!

  • To be fair, this isn’t Fox national news, it’s a local Fox affiliate. Seems like all of the headlines are purporting this as being a Fox News issue as opposed to some ignorant local affiliate.

    • Gary Patrowicz

yes because if it was faux news they would also say that it was mitt who made this great experience possible and how obama tried to put an end to icrap

  • Droid4All

    Samsung should make another commercial.

    • Tyler Chappell

This video makes it for them, doesn’t it?

  • nightscout13

Either they were trolling, or they are genuinely iFans who don’t know better.

  • lukad

    News in the US…
    Not surprising at all.

  • majormudafuckinhun

    But but it does…

  • Droid4All

How many people preordered an iphone 5 because of that -.-

    • JoshGroff

I did. And to think I sold my G-Nex and N7 for one… Crap >.>

  • FAL_Fan

If that were actually something that the iPhone had then that actually would be innovative, which would certainly be something new from them. I would actually be close to tempted to take that for a test drive.

  • Buur

That is an old Youtube video. Last year before the 4S announcement this guy at a dealership was showing me the video and thought it was real. Didn’t have the heart to tell him he was a moron. Also this isn’t Fox News.

  • Matthew

So you are waiting in line for 8 days for a cell phone. Your stupid.

    • *you’re
i just had to fix that πŸ˜›

  • Mike Yost

I think the guy who has been waiting there since last Thursday is worse than the unfactual reporting. He is going to take off work for over a week because of a phone, damn if people don’t believe in iSheep just show them this video, there is no way to deny it.

    • He probably doesn’t have a job as it is.

      • Diablo81588

        Unemployment check ftw!

  • Superdroid

But wait, there is more! If you pre-order we will include a time travel app. LOL.

    • jboogie1289

And at no additional cost, a LAWSUIT app. Nice!!!

  • Mike

They just showed that on the series finale of Weeds. It was a few years in the future and everyone had what looked like iphones but with holographic keyboards and images. Maybe that’s where they got the idea from

  • Bigwavedave25

LMAO!!! Thanks needed that before going into a 6hr meeting.

  • I heard it was coming with the limited edition 2pac hologram as well!

  • Brian

This is a local Fox affiliate report, not Fox News…

    • It’s still funny

      There’s always one.

      • LiterofCola

        I lol’d

    • steelcity1

No crap… whats your point? You upset the title doesn’t say Fox Local News instead of Fox News. Who cares? It is funny.

  • man, when did they go from “reporters” to “science fiction writers”? that is hilarious.

    • Nickodemus

No the new iphone 5 is made by scientology for its followers. Hence the cult status following of apple products.

  • teejaycard

  • Greyhame

……WOW. Too funny. Some people’s kids..

  • Wait, that’s not included? Time to cancel my pre-order.

  • Dan

LOL is all I have to say about that!

  • Jimmy Garcia

  • jalmodov

That’s not Fox News. Its Fox 5, a local affiliate of the fox network. Completely separate from the Fox news cable channel.

    • Yeah, this is just some local idiot news reporters. This isn’t Fox.

    • Futbolrunner

I’m ashamed of my Fox 5 DC news channel..smh

      • duke69111

I think this is New York (WNYW) not DC (WTTG).

        • Mack

No unfortunately Fox 5 is WTTG (DC metro area/Northern VA)

          • MyStroPro

The video clearly shows that the user who recorded it tuned to WNYW right at the start, or am I missing something?

          • Mack

I didn’t catch that but I live in VA and our local Fox station is Fox 5. Can there be more than one Fox 5? I was under the impression all the local affiliates used different numbers.

          • JDub

Yes, there can be more than one Fox 5. 5 is just the channel that its being broadcasted from. She even mentions she is in Manhattan.

          • There is a Fox 5 in Atl, but that wasn’t from from Atlanta.

          • bucwylde23

Watch the beginning of the video, it’s WNYW. Fox 5 is what all the stations call themselves. Fox 5 DC WTTG is the DC metro area

          • imns

Um… WNYW is also Fox 5. If they never reused the station number there would only be a handful of affiliates across the country. Besides, why would DC come to NYC to cover this? Isn’t there an apple store in DC?

          • Mack

Well I guess you learn something new every day. This shows how much I actually watch the news on TV.

          • duke69111

A quick google search shows, New York, DC, Atlanta, San Diego, Vegas

          • duke69111

Well, I was going off of the channel/program guide at the beginning of the video and it says FOX 5 – WNYW This article from the Huffington Post also states New York: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/18/fox-5-iphone-5_n_1893381.html?utm_hp_ref=technology

Subject: [droidlife] Re: Video: Fox News Thinks the iPhone 5 has a Laser Keyboard and Holographic Images

        • Chris Hollenbeck

Wherever it is, I’m not going to live there…

    • Droosh

Clayton Morris wouldn’t let the real Fox News make a mistake like that.

      • You’d be surprised what Fox News can do.

        • geedee82

Seriously, Fox news is by far the worst, dumbest, and most biased cable news channel. Not a single person on there has a brain, they are just lemmings spewing propaganda attempting to brainwash everyone who tunes in. It’s hilarious how Fox news viewers are consistently ranked the least informed on the issues in every poll. Jon Stewart always puts them in there place though.

          • JDub

After all that, you mention Jon Stewart. Just another biased liberal brainwashing you.

          • geedee82

            Darn that hilarious comedy show!

          • Inquizitor

You sound like a twelve-year-old when you write long posts with a singular point, cite Jon Stewart, and claim that “everybody knows” that those you disagree with “have no brains”.

          • geedee82

I never once “cited” Jon Stewart, but if your just referring to me saying his name, of course I am going to say the name “Jon Stewart” in a conversation about “Jon Stewart”. Saying “everybody knows” is just a shorter way of saying “this is common knowledge that has been around for years and if you don’t believe me look it up on the internet yourself and you will find countless examples and clear supporting evidence.” Saying “everybody knows” fox news is biased is like saying “everybody knows” Android has more features than iOS. The only people that I said “had no brains” were the pundits on Fox News, not because I disagree with them, but because they are extremely biased and only look at things from one side, which is obviously not smart. I am completely open to all view points.

To continue my long “singular point”, I will repeat something I said earlier: I never thought there would be so many sensitive die hard Fox News viewers on an android tech blog, otherwise I would have never gotten myself into this mess. πŸ™‚

          • JDub

I guess I need to clarify my comment. Having an opinion about hating Fox News because they are biased is fine and relatively common knowledge these days. They are just as biased to the right as MSNBC is to the left. Where your comments went wrong is when you threw in Jon Stewart, who is a biased leftest, making you a complete hypocrite. Saying your completely open to all view points makes you a liar as well. Clearly someone who has this much hate for Fox News and references leftists on an android forum is not open to all view points which by your own definition makes you not smart.

          • geedee82

You don’t know anything about me or my views, so don’t try to act like you do. I watch the news on all stations, to get all the viewpoints, but the volume of biased propaganda I see coming out of Fox news on a daily basis just plain disgusts me. The amount of hatred, flat out lies, altered statistics, misrepresentations, and intentionally strongly biased speech that they produce on a daily basis is nothing like I have ever on MSNBC or any other channel, not even close.

So because I feel that way about fox news, but I also find Jon Stewart and his show hilarious, makes me a hypocrite? I am certainly open to all political views, I’ve even voted for many different candidates from many different parties in the past. But my politcal views have absolutely nothing to do with why I find the daily show funny. It seems that you guys are so stuck in your one-sided views that you can’t even comprehend that properly.

The only point I was attempting to make originally was that Fox news is incredibly biased, it dumbs down its viewers, and it makes me sick, but that it is hilarious when Jon Stewart makes fun of them. I don’t see how any reasonable person could argue against that.

          • You mean, Jon “have-you-ever-tried-it-on-weed” Stewart? If you are going to cite facts, back it up with evidence. Don’t give me Jon
            “have-you-ever-tried-it-on-weed” Stewart quotes. Wow.

          • geedee82

WTF are you talking about?!? Are you a Fox News viewer? Why else would someone be sticking up for “Faux News”? If you are then I feel sorry for you but you also know that everything I said about them is true, everybody knows that stuff, this can’t possibly be the first time you have heard someone criticize Fox news. You disagree? Prove me wrong – “Mr. Back-it-up-with-evidence”! And Jon Stewart quotes? What do you want me to post a link so you can see Jon Stewart making fun of Fox news!?!? You need me to back that up with evidence too? Wow.

          • Let me get this straight, your evidence of Jon Stewart being right about something is a video of Jon Stewart saying something? Nope. No evidence needed at all. Is that Kool Aid tasty or what?

You get your news from a dedicated pot head and you feel sorry for everyone else? Light up another doobie and wipe the stolen-from-my-parents-cupboard Doritos off your fingers before you type.

          • geedee82

I’m really not sure what your overall point is in this argument. You’re all over the place and it is hard for me to respond to you.

Who said anything about getting my news from Jon Stewart? And why do you keep making all these weed references? Why do you assume I smoke weed? Just because I get my comedy from Jon Stewart, who happened to play a role in half baked? You are making way to many crazy assumptions, I am nothing like this person you think I am, and I know a hell of a lot of people who watch the daily show, find it hilarious, and are also nothing like the person you think I am.

All I was saying was that Jon Stewart is funny, especially when he makes fun of Fox News. Everyone knows that Fox News is biased as sh!t. You want proof of that? – Then turn on Fox news. All I said was that Jon Stewart puts them in their place, he makes fun of them, and it is very funny. You want proof of that? – Then turn on the daily show. I watch it often, because it is funny, but I certainly don’t watch a comedy show to get my NEWS. I get my NEWS from THE NEWS or a NEWSpaper, but certainly not FOX NEWS.

If you want to debate some issues or something then lets go, I can do this all day, but if you think Fox news is not biased, Jon Stewart is not funny, and I am a big dumb pothead just because I watch the daily show – you are dead wrong.

          • Akashi_Raikoh

Regardless of how much I enjoy the Daily show…you sound like a total tool with your retarded rant.

          • geedee82

Damn dude, it’s just the internet. Did I hurt your feelings or something, too? I never thought there would be so many die hard Fox News viewers on an android tech blog.

          • You’re an idiot. Jon Stewart isn’t someone who should looked at for news. I’ve seen him twice, one time he was using to support his case was ThinkProgress, which of course edited a interview with a guy to make him sound racist against blacks, only of course he had his black wife right next to him. The other time he was yelling about short selling like it was treason and that it must be banned.

Of course anyone that knows anything about short selling know its a vital market tool and is only possible because the people that own the stock on a long term basis loan it out to people and the only reason to get loaned a stock is to short sell. Except Jon Stewart is a dumb leftist who think short selling is betting against America and will destroy American businesses, but there is not a single documented case of a short selling causing a perfectly healthy business to fail.

          • geedee82

No, I am not an idiot, and I see no reason why you should call me an idiot for saying that fox news is biased and Jon Stewart is funny. You sound like you might be an idiot though, “Jon Stewart isn’t someone who should looked at for news”, first of all what does theat even mean and why the hell would you all of sudden think I get my news from Jon Stewart, please show me where I said that…I didn’t. Never have, never will. It is a comedy show…I watch it for laughs…end of story. All I said was that it is hilarious when he makes fun of fox news for how biased they are. I am so tired of talking with you sensitive insecure fox news viewers about this, look at all the other posts I have made below on this topic and you will see what I mean.

“OMG…this one time…at band camp, Jon Stewart said he wanted to destroy America!…”

    • John

ya but just as funny as the actual fox news channel

    • Talk about not checking stuff out. You’d think that DROID life would vet this a little harder before desperately trying to associate this with Fox News. Hyper partisan much? Sheesh.

      • geedee82

I really don’t think its that big of a deal. He said it was Fox news when really its just a Fox affiliate, big whoop. It doesn’t matter what channel it came from, the point is just that some people out there are stupid enough to believe this stuff, and this Fox affiliate is even crazier for actually putting it on TV without checking it out first, they are the ones who should have vetted this story a little harder, not droid life…sheesh.

      • steelcity1

It is a Fox affiliate. Sorry if you have a hard-on for Fox, but Droid Life was not trying to make a political statement. It certainly was not desperate… it is just a funny video from a local Fox News program. “Sheesh”

        • I have a hard on for accurate reporting. You either have to agree with one of two conditions here. 1) Droid Life just flat out got it wrong, and did not vet their story. 2) They are attempting to associate this with Fox News to make Fox News look stupid. Either way, Droid Life has let me down here.

If there was a story about some off brand, forked Android manufacturer from deep China doing something idiotic, and the headline was “Google does blah blah blah…” we would all be up in arms. Would we not? Spank you very much…

All I ask is to get stuff right. And if you make an error, like over a hundred comments in this story has pointed out so far, correct it. Don’t just leave it as is. The fact that this has yet to be corrected after several hours live on the site leads me to think it isn’t an error.

          • steelcity1

lol! This is a blog, not news. Your conditions are ridiculous. They just posted a funny video. What is there to vet? It is clearly Fox News. It is obviously a local station. They made no attempt to mock the entire organization or mislead anyone. The video has the Fox 5 logo on it. Your analogy sucks. This is local Fox News… not an entirely different organization. If a local Google Office did something stupid, then YES we would say Google did something stupid. What is up with your love of Fox?

          • geedee82

I find it ironic that you have such a “hard-on for accurate reporting” and that all you ask is they “get stuff right”, yet you stick up for Fox News.

          • I find it ironic that your arguments contain nothing more than smears of anyone and anything from whom you disagree. Let me guess, “Faux News” should be banned, all republicans are racists, and rich people are all evil? Does that sum it up?

          • geedee82

You assume an awful lot about me. I never said any of those things, nor do I feel any of those things. What is your deal with me dude? All I have done is made fun of Fox News for how unbelievable biased they are, something that is common knowledge! Did you really not know that until today? Why are you so determined to stick up for them?!?

          • You’re a smear merchant. Just because a news organization isn’t an Obama lap dog like the rest of the media, you can’t handle that other people have alternative views. So you insult and discredit and then I’m supposed to take you seriously?

          • geedee82

Again, the ideas you have about me couldn’t be any farther from the truth. I’m a smear merchant because I call a cable news station biased, when it clearly is? I just call it like I see it. I don’t know why the truth hurts you so much. This has absolutely nothing to do with conservative or liberal politics, I am well aware that people have alternative views and I think that is a great thing, I am a moderate myself and I am open to all viewpoints. I also understand that not everything is so black and white and that good ideas can come from either side of the political spectrum. But what I do not like is seeing a nationwide TV station force their strong one-sided opinions onto their viewers and attempt to brainwash them day in and day out. Yes, there are other networks that can sometimes be biased, but they also consistently include opposing viewpoints on the air. I watch a lot of news, on A LOT of different stations, including Fox news, so I have first hand knowledge on this topic. Nothing comes close to the propaganda that is constantly being peddled by Fox news. Its not that they aren’t just “an Obama lap dog”, but they are BY FAR the worst “smear merchant” in the country and it disgusts me.

As I said up above to another poster, this is common knowledge that has been around for years and if you don’t believe me look it up on the internet yourself and you will find countless examples and clear supporting evidence.

          • At least you can admit that you are a smear merchant. That’s all we need to know haus πŸ˜‰

          • geedee82

Well said Mitt Romney. Of course, its no matter that I never actually said that but hey, who cares right, lets just fool the public into believing more lies and propaganda, just like the Romney and Ryan campaign, in true Republican form. Don’t worry buddy – “YOU DID BUILD THAT”!

          • It’s hilarious that you think you’re moderate with those kind of views. As a wise man once say, “fish don’t know he’s wet.”

          • geedee82

That’s the best you’ve got? A “it’s hilarious you think you’re a moderate” slam? Ouch, way to hit me where it hurts. This is what’s so funny about all you brainwashed uptight rigid carved-in-stone right wingers, you’re so locked in place in your political prison cells that you don’t think it’s possible for anyone to step outside of theirs. How dare someone say something that’s not in line with their claimed political stance? A republican who supports ObamaCare? – Off with his head! Not to mention that we don’t even care how you classify our political views, most people just have the views they have, and let the chips fall where they may.

Now, lets take a look at those so called “kind of views” that it is hilarious for a moderate to have. You mean views against lying and deceiving the general public? Views against taking someone’s words out of context and twisting them around until they say something completely different? How dare a moderate feel that way!

          • So tell me then mister “moderate”…what conservative political views do you have? Hyper-partisan liberals pretending to be moderate is always a fun exercise.

          • geedee82

I still don’t think you quite get it. It sounds like you only look at the world in black and white, either conservative or liberal, for everything. A lot of people are like that, but I’m not one of them. Things aren’t so cut and dry in the real world. That’s why I consider myself a moderate. Being a moderate doesn’t mean I am exactly in the middle on every single issue, I don’t think that’s even possible, it means I am liberal on some, and conservative on others. Whatever is best for the situation at hand, or whatever I think is the smartest option to take. If you lock yourself in to one specific viewpoint, and follow that platform for everything, you start to see the world through a limited vision, and become blind to all other ideas – even if one is clearly the smarter solution. At least that’s how I see things, I realize that people like me are rare now a days though.

Honestly, I probably do lean a little more to left now a days, but that’s only because the tea party has pushed the republicans so much farther to the right. And that’s also why I plan on voting for Obama this November. I don’t have time to sit here and go through where I stand on every single issue with you, but I promise you I am definitely not a “hyper partisan liberal” pretending to be moderate, I just look at things from a different perspective, you should try it sometime πŸ™‚

          • That’s checkmate chummy. Quit pretending you are anything but a hyper partisan liberal. Thanks and gig Em.

          • geedee82

Chummy? Checkmate??? Have I been talking to a little kid this entire time??? I guess it would explain a lot…

          • Insults and name calling rather than debate. Did you learn that from Keith Olbermann?

          • geedee82

Why don’t you go back and read through our conversation again, look at all of my comments, and look at all of your comments…it’s incredibly obvious which one of us was seriously debating and which one of us was acting like a little kid.

          • Still waiting on that conservative viewpoint, Mister Moderate.

          • geedee82

Wow. So that’s what this is suddenly about. You are really trying your hardest to prove my little kid theory right aren’t you? Listen to yourself man. You know that you have undoubtedly lost the original argument, but somehow everything will be OK if I just tell you one of my conservative viewpoints? So what, you can affirm to yourself that I’m not lying about being a moderate/independent? That’s gonna make you feel all better? I am literally laughing out loud right now.

So lets see…I support the second amendment and believe every citizen should be able to exercise their right to bear arms, with no exceptions. (I get in arguments with my liberal friends on that one all the time.) I believe in a smaller government, much smaller than what we have now. We need to cut whatever we can in order to stop this excessive spending, balance the budget, and start paying down this insane deficit. I do believe that we should raise taxes slightly on our upper class earners, ($250,000 and above) because I think it is necessary in order to do the things I just mentioned, but I also believe we should cut the capital gains tax, if not abolish it, to promote investment, business creation, entrepreneurship etc. Lets see..I’m also against welfare and similar programs because I think it creates government dependence. And of course I also believe in a strong, well equipped military and department of defense (I come from a military family.) There are probably many other things that I have conservative views on but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

But like I said, I’m voting for Obama, because I’m a moderate and I think he makes a much better president than an empty suit puppet who flip flops, runs from his past, misleads the public, doesn’t give specifics, and puts his foot in his mouth every time he opens it.

          • So let me get this straight.
            1. You want to vote for Obama, but you would like to see a smaller government? Obama is the biggest governmental expansionist of all time.
            2. You want to cut the deficit, but you’re voting for Obama? The deficit was a shade under 10 trillion when he took office. It’s over 16 tril now.
            3. If you want to cut out capital gains, then you don’t want to raise taxes on the extremely wealthy. Capital gains is what the majority of their income comes from. Even if you raised taxes on wealthy, that would do nothing to the deficit.
            4. You’re against welfare, but you’re voting for Obama? Obama is the ultimate welfare proponent the world has ever seen. He now wants “personal journaling” to satisfy a “work requirement” to get a welfare check. Welfare has risen significantly under his presidency. It’s not even close.
            5. You want strong military and you’re voting for Obama? I don’t even know what to tell you on this one.
All the insults and I’m a “little kid” comments, if that makes you feel better then great. Insult me all you want. But at the end of the day, you get your Half-Baked news from Jon Stewart, and you believe that a news organization that opines a counter viewpoint to whatever your world view du jour is should be ridiculed and banned. You’re completely willing to believe in all the character assassination and personal attacks on Romney because the dems put that out. That’s all they have to go on. They certainly can’t run on their own record. Just yesterday Harry Reid said that Romney has “sullied” his religion. So tell me, exactly what do you see in Obama? Does he have a nice jump shot? Is he cool cause Jon Stewart says so? Obama has the entire country on a fast track to bankruptcy and government dependence. That’s to say nothing of his constant gaffes and negative views of people who are successful and his desire to “spread the wealth.” But hey, if that’s what you want, great, I guess we’ll just all go down the toilet with Greece and Spain and California.

          • geedee82

Look man, I just got back from a 4 day Vegas trip last night, had an absolute blast, so looking back on this conversation this morning, I realize how small and stupid this argument was. I’m a moderate voting for Obama and your a conservative voting for Romney, that’s just the way it is, were never going to agree on everything. Actually, I do agree with most of the stuff that you just said though, but I don’t think my conservative views are quite as extreme as yours, I also have a lot of other views on things that kind of out-weigh a lot of that stuff. Like I said, I’m a moderate, so I have a lot of liberal views too. And with the way these polls are looking lately it seems most of the country has already made up their mind. The debates should be fun to watch though and they will probably have some effect on people as well. Anyways, I’m voting for Obama and your voting for Romney, so let’s just agree to disagree.

          • What a dissapointment. I always enjoy a good political debate. I’m a psychologist by trade, so how people come to decisions is always interesting to me. But what I find fascinating, is that you say you’re a moderate, but Romney is a moderate. He’s the most moderate guy the Repubs have ever run. Governor of hyper democrat Mass, can’t be a straight conservative. Yet you are staunch in your defense of your vote for Obama, who is the most leftist president I’ve seen in my lifetime. I just like to understand what makes liberals tick, other than their rage for the delusional belief that everyone on the right is racist or whatever the daily personal attack is out of the lefty media. Like, do you really believe that government hand outs enriches peoples lives? Do you really believe we should all be locked into “Julia’s World,” married to a Leviathan state whose politicians believe that state-craft and government is the ultimate answer to whatever life’s problems are? That’s what I really don’t get about liberals. They’re belief in community rests in the disbelief in individuals that, when left to their own devices, would refuse to help their fellow man. They believe that government must ordain this, make it into law, in order to make it so. They believe that we must be governed by tyrannical omnipresent, moral busybodies, who legislate our lives for our own good, because they don’t believe in the the innate good of the individual. Did you know that social studies show a statistically significant higher percentage of liberals who are depressed and abuse drugs? Who commit suicide? I’m not saying that everyone who is a democrat is a depressed drug addict, but the fundamental difference between the two ideologies is in the worldview of their fellow man. Do you believe in your neighbor or not?

  • MKader17

I stood in line for a phone once, because I finished my breakfast early and the Verizon store wasn’t open yet.

  • have you guys seen the Jimmy Kimmel iphone video people are indeed that stupid

  • Neomastermind

More iPhone news on Droid Life, eh?

    • its not news its making fun of

    • Laki S.

I hear ya. I don’t like it either. I like to come here to read news on Android, not posts bashing Apple. Seems like a waste of a space on an otherwise great site.

      • Neomastermind

It does get tiring. What’s worse is the blatant hypocrisy of some of the android fans. I come here for Android new, not Android news with a side of Apple bashing

      • iBrick

You could always scroll just a tad further and not read it?

        • Laki S.

That’s not the point. I know I could. That doesn’t take away from the fact that I hate seeing one of my favorite sites fall to the level of troll baiting.

  • BAHAHAHA cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • Michael swaim

  • Scott Souder

It’s Fox. What did you expect? Don’t worry. If Obama buys one, they’ll change their tune and tell you how the new iphone has a hidden swastika in it.

    • Inquizitor

This isn’t Fox News, it’s a local Fox 5 station. Completely separate, and clearly much shoddier.

      • Scott Souder

Much shoddier than Fox News? Is that even possible?

        • thΓͺ randy

yes…it is called CNN / MSNBC

          • Scott Souder

What? CNN is about as balanced as it gets in the ridiculous American tv news world. MSNBC doesn’t exist anymore, but NBC News does lean a little left. Though not nearly enough to balance what Fox News is doing.

          • pappy53

A LITTLE left? What are you smoking? At least Fox News tells the truth.

          • Scott Souder

Faux News isn’t even real news. It’s tabloids. The things they make up are no different than seeing the “Lady gives birth to alien baby after watching Curiosity land on mars” crap.

          • thΓͺ randy

I agree that Fox News is not balanced either. Anyone who has to tell people over and over that they are unbiased probably isn’t. But CNN and NBC are definitely no better. They are both so into Obama-mania that they cannot see straight. Just as much as Fox News cannot see any good in anything that he says or does…(If there is any). Personally, I get all my news from Twitter πŸ˜‰

          • Scott Souder

CNN doesn’t even like Obama, and there’s plenty of good in him. NBC News does seem to like him a little more than the rest, but it’s nothing like the absolute love-fest Fox News has for Romney. At least we agree where to get the news. Twitter here as well.

          • Inquizitor

Your political leanings have blinded you to how ridiculous every major TV news network. They all suck, whether they’re liberal hacks or conservative hacks. CNN and MSNBC are just as bad, with Maddow and Matthews being just as large fools as Beck. In any case, none of this has to do with the article, and my original point that you incorrectly identified the station.

  • Robert Jakiel

I just threw up in my mouth a little… People really are THAT stupid…

  • Bewara2009

  • O.o if it actually did have all that even I would consider buying one but is it really that hard to distinguish the real specs from conceptual ones?

    • Brian Michael Hathaway

      I’d buy that.
