DROID RAZR M Available From Amazon for $50

If Verizon’s $99 starting price point for the DROID RAZR M still didn’t seem like a good enough deal, you may want to check out Amazon Wireless. If you are a new customer or you feel like adding a new line, you can pick up our favorite Motorola device in years (our review), for $50 on contract. If you are already a Big Red customer and have an upgrade available, you can grab this edge-to-edge wonder for $70.

Update:  Well s**t, it looks like they are flagged as “backordered.”

Wow. Well that was fast! Haha

  • C-Law

$529 full price. Not horrible. It is an awesome looking phone in person

  • AnGeLFaCe777

This is the i phone killer in Verizon.

  • Art Holguin

that sold out faster than the iphone 5 😡

  • Benjamin Sicard

It’s a good deal, but I’d still take a Galaxy Nexus over it.

  • Easily the best sub $100 phone on the market. @ $50 it’s a steal.

  • WickedToby741

I don’t care what they call this, but this is the Bionic 2. Look at design, release date, and features and you’ll see this phone is occupying the slot the Bionic did last year. I hope this phone turns out better than the Bionic.

  • Ekknr

Out less than a week and already discounted. This is the reason android Phones sell, not the operating system!!!

  • RoadsterHD1

This phone has got allot of Bad reviews on Verizon’s website. They say it runs hot and overheats

    • Butters619

I can only see one review :/

      • fixxmyhead

      • RoadsterHD1

They removed the other 7. Look it says 1 of 8 reviews.

    • VanZero

I think you got the phones mess up. The old Droid Razr/Maxx has Cortex-A9, which is known to overheat up to 185° F. This link talks about Cortex-A9 “http://ubuntulife.net/samsung-galaxy-note-overheating/”. On the other hand, the new Droid Razr M, Razr HD and HD Maxx have Snapdragon S4 which is more thermally efficient. Here’s a link for that info. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/46032/qualcomm-snapdragon-s4-processor-butter-test

Whats weird is that they removed all negative comments and reviews. I says 8 reviews but they only show one. I saw them yesterday and 7 reviews were negative.

        • VanZero

I hate it when companies do that. I just check and notice it now. Now, I’m kinda curious exactly what they said about the phone.

          • RoadsterHD1

From what I remember 6 of the 7 said it was getting real hot. Like an app was running in the background. One person said it killed the battery in 1.5 hours. maybe its a Verizon app pre-installed going rouge. I think if you disable all VZN app bloatware it would take care of the problem, we need to see if Kellex can look into this.

        • ChavaM

I read those reviews too. They were dated back to the beginning of the month. I’m almost positive people were looking for the RAZR or the RAZR MAXX and reviewed the RAZR M by accident.

    • CopierITGuy

People say that about all Android phones, don’t they?

      • RoadsterHD1

        No, not like this.

  • I kinda wish I were on Verizon still. Narcissistic and silly I know but I like the concept of owning a phone that has M in it…such an underused letter 😉

  • Robert Jakiel

As much as I can’t stand VZW or Motorola this is probably the best deal out there. Specs of a superphone mius awesome display for $50. For someone looking to get fast and good on the cheap this is definitely the ticket.

  • New_Guy

That’s a great ‘effin deal if someone is in the market for one. Not for me though…

  • mustbepbs

The M has me really excited about the HD. I think it’s going to be a home run (save for the bootloader :/).

    • AnGeLFaCe777

I want the hd to be more like the m. I didn’t like Wideness of my razr.

  • picaso86

I hate how I can see the screws…

    • Greg

I like the screws. makes me think it will be easier to self repair when the glass shatters.

      • New_Guy

I’d like them more if they looked lilke they were on purpose…

        • Agreed. It looks industrial but not in a stylish way…kinda incomplete. Maybe because the phone is white.

          • New_Guy

Exactly. They should have levt them unpainted with a brushed finish. That would have been pretty awesome.

        • Paul

How would they do that though? The only thing I could think of is painting the screws red or something, which would look horrible…

          • New_Guy

Actually they should have simply left them unpainted. Maybe with a brushed finish. It sounds sort of Apple-like for me to say this but sometimes less is more. If they leave the paint off the screws all together, it makes for an industrial and complete look.

      • WAldenIV

You’ll need a torx screw driver.

    • kixofmyg0t

I like the screws. I think it gives it a “tougher” more industrial look.

    • Trevor

Then you’re screwed. Sorry, that was a terrible joke.

    • picaso86

At least everybody can agree that the back of the phone looks horrible…

    That escalated quickly…

  • daveydawg

    Edge to edge not

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Haven’t really been sure what to think about the M . . .but I just came to the stie and the first thing that came out of my mouth was . . . . “That thing is kinda ugly” . . . .So I guess that’s that. . . .Will still go to the store and check it out in person.

    • Dr_Buttballs

I like the looks of the phone from the front. However I don’t feel the same for the back and sides.
