I have T-Mobile now in the Denver metro area, it’s usable from day-to-day and I have found in on par with VZW LTE with both generally getting about 16-21mbps in the areas I have tested them. My friend has a VZW Droid 4 and I have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III, those are the devices I’ve used. I use my Galaxy S III everyday on my commute to work at Dish. I take the train in to work to save gas and spend my time streaming TV shows and movies from Dish Online. It’s a great way to keep up on my favorite TV shows and watch a movie occasionally. I will be getting T-Mobile’s unlimited data plan so I can stop monitoring how much my streaming habits take up in data cost.

So, if I already have a 2gb cap unlimited data plan with T-Mobile, do I just automatically lose the cap?

True. But the price justifies the drop in service. Especially with how much wifi I’m on.

Well, we still have a year and a half to decide. I’m sure every carrier’s coverage will change for the better with that much time.

I’m in the same boat. I’d jump ship in a heartbeat and go with an unlocked GNex and T-Mobile value plan, but their coverage isn’t good enough. I pay a lot more in cash and aggravation on Verizon, but at least I get what I pay for in excellent coverage and widely available 4G.

I feel like that’s where it’s at, but their coverage sucks. Coverage is the only thing still keeping me at Verizon. After how bad they’ve screwed their customers with plans and dragging their feet on Android updates I want to leave bad, but I can’t justify losing their superior coverage. A carrier is only as goo as their coverage, and for me that makes T-Mobile not that good despite their superior plans.

The “right thing to do” to show Verizon your unhappy would be to take your business elsewhere, like T-Mobile or Sprint. T-Mobile is especially tempting right now. Unlocked GSM GNex on Google Play for $349 (paid $300 for my Bionic subsidized), no contract, and unlimited everything for $75 a month.

Too bad their coverage blows where I live. Otherwise I’d be there in a heartbeat. Updates straight from Google with no carrier meddling, unlimited everything, and even if T-Mobile changes and decides to screw me over I wouldn’t have a contract so I could walk. Man, that would be nice.

Man if Verizon keeps on messing with my data and services I will have to change. I only hope T-Mobile doesn’t change the plans again. Also maybe this will make Verizon and att change strategies.

VERY tempting! I had T-Mo testing it out for a short while and their network was very fast. I even put Verizon and them head to head in the areas I went and there was zero difference. Both were equally impressive. Very good alternative to Verizon. I may jump when my contract expires, especially since it’s a bit cheaper.
