They can’t. The Fleksy keyboard on iOS is an app. You type the message, then you have the option to share it accordingly–whether it be a text, Tweet, Email… It is inefficient. However, that’s all Apple allows.

With android, the blind have the ability to use speak to text since froyo. So why the hell would they want to type when they can just say what they want written down? I love the speech to text feature, that’s why I didn’t get another slider after my D1

Since when can you use a keyboard replacement app on iOS? I haven’t touched my iPod Touch in quite a while, but I remember specifically trying to put ShapeWriter on my Touch, and all it would let you do is have a notepad app with their keyboard in it. Can you now change Apple’s default keyboard and replace it with something else, or is this keyboard only used inside the Fleshkey app? Apple has always been too Draconian to allow users to do something as freedom enjoying as changing the default keyboard, but maybe they have pulled that stick out of their anus, just an itty bitty little bit?
