FINALLY! A decent consistent 4G signal in my condo in Iowa City. Also, it proves the things I’ve always read about Motorola making the best radios… My Droid 4 has two to three bars of 4G consistently, but my roommate’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus only picks up the 3G in the condo.

I’m really surprised that Verizon got 4G to southern Idaho so quickly. I thought it would be another year before that happened.

Most everywhere. there is a spot on 94 around Cretin where it drops out on my commute. I was referring to the apparent hardware incompatibility of the local batch of towers with the radios on the .10 galaxy nexus that causes outgoing audio to drop out. My wife went through 3 of them before just getting an S3. My .09 GNex has had this happen 70% of her calls in the west 7th area, just outside of downtown.

Blah blah, Market after market but in the real world what does this really matter. Especially when all Verizon and it’s CDMA LTE NETWORK does nothing but drains battery life dry. Not to mention the pitiful piss poor signal strength and crappy reception on most of it’s LTE handsets. I don’t here them speaking of the poor Dbm and asu which in turn means Lte is useless. Ask all the current Galaxy Nexus owners how they feel about the overrated and overpriced Lte network and service they receive. People who are on Verizon are brain washed they remind me of apple iphone users misguided. Here in New York City Tmobile pimp slaps Verizon all day long plain and simple. With the kind of battery life i get on my Galaxy S3 on Tmobile Verizon can go piss on itself.

Wausau has 4G due to Cellcom(They are one of those rural partners with Verizon, using VZW’s spectrum). They go all the way north to Marinette.

Going live here in ND tomorrow, unfortunately I still only have a 3G phone. September 10th is my upgrade day unless I want to pay full price to keep my unlimited. And then, there is question of waiting for closer to Christmas to see if anything new and must have comes out such as a new Nexus phone or even a Droid 5 slider. Choices, choices.

they can update all they want, but because of how slow their updates are,I doubt I will stay with verizon when my contract is up

well when I saw this I was for sure that Charlotte, NC was going to be one of the expanding markets.. reason being is last week my phone showed a working 4G signal at home for like 20 mins.. then went away I am at least 10 miles from closest tower equipped with 4G, so I know they were testing just wish they would make it live!
