Considering this tablet is already lowered $200 at some onkine store then it’s not a steal. The specs is already slowly outdated already. The only thing it got going for is the expandable memory but it doesn’t make up for so-so speed and out dated specs. Don’t watse your money. You’re buying outdated gadget.

No way. Samsung has burned me one too many times with their atrocious tablets. I’ll never buy a tablet with the word Samsung on it ever again. Plus, I wouldn’t trade in my N7 for 10 of these. I’ve never had a tablet run so buttery smooth!! And Google Now?? Fuggetaboutit.

i agree, while this tablet is nice (its specs alone beat the iPad 2 and the price is $150 less than any iPad 2) it looks kinda cheap, no aluminum backplate, kinda thick, not so amazing cameras, lack of cellular connection, and only a dual core chip (the N7 is less money and has a quad core) makes it a pros/cons type of device.

They may cost more but I don’t see a almost $300 increase! And Verizon just wants to get all their customers to upgrade in order to get rid of unlimited data for good.

I don’t want to see a race to the bottom for $200 tablets. The margins are razor-thin or even non-existant for anyone who isn’t in the content selling biz (Apple, Google, Amazon). Instead, let’s focus on a more well-rounded feature set at a nominally higher price and focus on quality, bang for the buck, and post-sale support and let the next crop of Android tablets offer more value than the upcoming iPad mini or the aging iPad2 at $399.

I’d rather have a new 8″ JB tablet with all the right ports, build quality, cameras, SoC, and storage for $250 or $300 than a bottom-feeder $200 tablet that’s awesome in some areas but gimped in others.

For $250 last December I got a 32gb Lenovo K1 with the same processor, dual cameras, sd slot, 1280×800 IPS, etc, etc, etc. 8gb dual core for more than $200 is not a deal.
