The production style of these things is reminding me more of those embarrassing Microsoft clips than cooler Apple videos or even Google’s better stuff.

When the guy says “grocery store” in the middle, the Nexus 7 suddenly felt less than premium.

I used the offline maps for a 200 mile trip the other day without internet and they worked great. The Nexus 7 is a great little (big) GPS unit

Lots of good options for that, but most of them cost some coin. Try Navfree USA for a decent free app.

I wasn’t specific, I meant downloadable Google maps, like the entire state of California, the way Google had mentioned a few weeks ago…..Pre-cached maps works, but i want solid 100% data including POI’s.
