There hasn’t been a time in my 10 years of using Verizon that they’ve ever known more than I did about a phone or even my plan. And this is at multiple stores through out the years and a decade of employees. So sorry if I lump them all together, they’re poorly trained. You may have a solid place, but Verizon as a whole has poor customer service.

ahem…..not all of us. Believe it or not, some of us, like myself, keep up on what’s going on, and keep themselves informed everyday so we know what’s going on, not just on the Verizon side of things, but the phones and software as well. You may have had a couple bad experiences at corporate stores, which wouldn’t surprise me, but the company I work for prides itself on being up to speed on everything, so please, don’t lump us all together.

Yeah. I work in IT and one of our remote users actually asked me to enable VZ Navigator on her line.. within 30 seconds of showing her Google maps she was amazed at how much better it was and grabbed it on her personal phone too. I wish there was a good way to mass-educate people on such things.

If you have a Gnex, this would be true. If you have a Galaxy S3, you would see a few of the Verizon apps return after boot.

Um…no. I have rebooted many times…ICS forbids them to load at boot. It is not simply killing the task, it is disabling the app itself.

This is an OS level function, not a task-killer app. I cannot actually uninstall them, but they do not run at boot, and do not appear in the app drawer.
