Since I updated the latest version for facebook couple days ago my post swas not going to the new feed. Is there a fix? Or can you uninstall the latest version without hurtting any of your facebook info

I just use my twitter for flipboard, its a great news app that you can customize. I don’t support FB anymore since everything you post on their site becomes the intellectual property of facebook, from what you say, to pictures and videos. Not to mention the hidden cookies that track every single website you go to.

Is anyone else bothered by the sudden change in permissions to include phone state and identity? I try to limit how much marketable information I put on Facebook because I know they will sell it to “partners” at the drop of a hat. The last thing I need is to have my phone number, MEID, and whatever else that permission exposes essentially made public. Unless I see something in writing directly from Facebook that explains exactly what they need that permission for and a promise not to collect any of the sensitive data, I will not install the update. I may end up uninstalling the app and using the browser like some of the other people in this thread have said.

The check in part of the app is updated as well. It shows a mini map of your area and the list of businesses near you is arranged a little nicer. The only reason I noticed this was because I check in at work everyday to give our store more check ins for an attempt to get more likes and interest. I personally prefer Google+, just sadly none of my friends or family are really on there so I just end up reading interesting articles and that’s about it.

Same here. I removed the app awhile back and just made a bookmark to touch.facebook.com instead. It’s seriously MORE functional.

In think google+ is way better, only about 15% of my friends adopted it. So theirs not much point to using it.

I uninstalled it when I saw that they added a new permission to read phone state and identity. Why do they need that? It is amazing how much battery life I gained after uninstalling.

I have tried Friendcaster in the past but I was disappointed to see that it can’t show me any updates or posts of my friends with highest security settings. I ended up missing out on approx 1/3 of my friends.

It takes long to load, because they are downloading all your information. Facebook sold out to the US Government.
