was hoping this would involve Android@Home – but I guess not. A cool device, but frankly I would’ve thought a Google TV, Android phone or tablet would do the same thing.

the only way i am going to consider this is if i can hook my tablet or phone up to it somehow and have the phone/tablet screen show up on my big screen. i dont want to be locked into just those few apps, i would like a web page on the screen, my google music, MX player for local movies, my gallery ect. this is a cool looking device, but if it can only stream from google movies/music and youtube it just isn’t worth it. i can plug my phone in as it sits and it works just fine.

and if the play store link below is the actual price it is going to be listed as ($300)….forget it

Looks cool but I just connect my GNex to mt HT using MHL->HDMI and play stuff that way.. I also stream media from my pc to my android devices (and then to my HT if I choose) using a potato server which works flawlessly

Oh, I see what they’re doing. It looks like you buy a movie/tv/music from your phone/tablet/pc and then with the Nexus Q you stream it through your home theater system. Cool.

It should be what we saw last year. a home entertainment device that you connect to speakers throughout your house and can control the music from your android tv, tablet or phone. the one they displayed was a cube. And i think a ball, where simply tapping a cd to it would rip the CD. Real cool stuff. I saw a video of it yesterday on another site
