Or Verizon will raise the price of the full retail value so high on their network that it’ll be way to expensive not to get a “new” subsidized phone by making the full price close to $800 or more for a brand new phone.

You can’t get those really good prices unless you are a *new* customer. Verizon customers can upgrade at discounted rates after 20 months, but even if you were out of contract at 24 months you could still not get the “new” customer discounted price unless you cancelled your line, waited a time, and re-signed up.

I love my Galaxy Nexus. Battery life is fine after the 4.0.4 upgrade and the $25 extended battery from Verizon. Doesn’t get hot, no lag. Yeah it’s lightweight and plasticy, but it’s still quite nice. Best Android phone I’ve ever owned.

Defective phone? My Galaxy Nexus is the best phone I’ve ever owned, and that includes all prior Android phones, and the iPhone 4. I’m not sure how you are classifying this as a disaster of a phone. Just because Verizon fumbled the release doesn’t make it any less of an awesome device.

check your settings, if roaming is not checked,that causes a lot of it. and forget about using juice defender,have found that those two things stop a lot of problems

Mine too. So does my brother’s, and two guys from work. In my opinion, the GNex is no different than the Bionic when it was released: buggy as an ant hill, but things have been ironed out tremendously.
