NVIDIA Announces Five New Tegra Optimized Games at This Year’s E3, Dead Trigger a Clear Show Stopper

The good folks over at NVIDIA are currently showing off five new exciting game titles at their E3 booth down in Los Angeles. The games are not available for download yet, but there’s nothing wrong with getting them hyped up. The new Tegra 3 optimized games are titled Dead Trigger, Bounty Arms, Heroes Call, Puddle, and Demons’ Score. What has me the most excited is definitely Dead Trigger. The game comes from the same makers of Shadowgun and it’s all about zombies and taking them down with huge guns. Just what I needed!

Below is a screenshot from each of the games and a brief description that was provided by NVIDIA and the publishers. After checking them out, let us know which one might have you the most excited.

Dead Trigger – The world has collapsed and meat-eating zombies are after you! This first-person shooter takes advantage of the Tegra 3 processor to provide exclusive effects like enhanced water, specular lighting, volumetric fog and ragdoll physics.

Bounty Arms – This exciting 3D side-scrolling action game will be playable for the first time at E3. Open-Reset and Luma Arcade are working closely with NVIDIA to create Tegra-exclusive enhancements for Bounty Arms on Android, tapping the graphics potential of Tegra 3.  These enhancements include visual and performance upgrades and exclusive content like co-op play and advanced particle effects.

Puddle THD – This hot Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network console game is now being shown off on an NVIDIA Tegra 3 device at E3. The game mechanics are simple and intuitive – guide the water to a target destination through tilt controls. On Tegra 3, you’ll get higher resolution textures, advanced fluid effects, better shadows and advanced physics effects.

Demons’ Score THD – A break-beat action game that integrates music with battles. It was developed using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 to produce high-quality 3D graphics and a user interface optimized for smartphones and tablets. Tegra 3-exclusive features include higher resolution textures, advanced bloom effects, rim lighting, dynamic shadows and depth-of-field effects.

Heroes Call – Heroes Call is a playable action RPG that brings next-gen gaming to Tegra devices. Lush graphics, deep quests, multiple characters and varied abilities make Heroes Call an experience unlike any you’ve seen on your mobile device. The Tegra 3 exclusive features here are higher resolution light maps, spectacular maps on character weapons and armor and additional physics interaction on objects and particles.

Puddle is a pretty solid game…though it has a pretty high learning curve. Even for the 2-3 months I was testing the XBLA & PSN versions it sometimes gave us quite a struggle on occasion. It’s a great indie game though!

Puddle is quite fun on XBLA, so I imagine it’ll be almost just as fun on a Tegra optimized phone/tablet.

    Rest of ’em look great.

Wow–Dead Trigger is actually the LEAST exciting of the games mentioned here. There’s about 20+ different FPSes in the Play Store already. Either way, good to see Android getting some top billing!

    • Yea, but when NVIDIA and Madfinger partner up, it is sure to dominate any other game that has the same script. Just you wait and see… 😛

Is this nvidia processor going to be in the new google 7 inch tablet? Also does anyone know if that call od duty game is going to be ported from ios to android?

        • Reports show that the Tegra 3 chip will power the Nexus 7 and I have no idea about any official Activision CoD coming to Android….

  • DAT ASS!

Was just waiting for someone to make a comment regarding that…..lmao!

Ha ha me too. But cmon were all thinking it….or maybe I just need to get out more. Millions of years of biology + insane nvidea graphics= inner conflict for men everywhere

        • KeIIer

I can see why it needs “rim lighting” LOL!
