Who wouldn’t want more RAM? if they were hating then they are idiots. There is always a need for more (of anything). People that say “we don’t need it” are the ones that always say that to everything. Just makes them feel better. I do it to I guess when i buy something that doesn’t have EVERYTHING i want.

Docomo phones have their own variation of NFC Payment similar to google wallet, their “iConcier” service, which all need to run in the background which has been sucking up ram in their previous phones. It’s not surprising they’d want Samsung to put 2gb ram in their variant before they made an order of that scale(docomo is huge, samsung is more than willing to make them happy)
