Samsung’s Sign-Up Page For The New Galaxy SIII Goes Live, Get On It

The sign-up page for Samsung’s brand new Galaxy SIII device is now live. If you need to be one of the first folks to know when this bad boy becomes available, then this is where to start. Or you could just read DL. Choice is up to you.

Note: When signing up, don’t forget to mention what carrier you are on. 😉

Via: Samsung

  • No carrier preference on the page like in the screenshot. Hmmm.

  • frankandsimple

    It’s got Pentile Display. Pass!
    HTC One X >>> Galaxy s3.

  • RuPERT

What a completely disgusting iphone-esque home button they’ve added to their new phone. I happen to love Samsung, but I’m dim enough not to notice how they try to mimic Apple styling, and people have repeatedly mistaken my Galaxy Tab 10.1 for an Ipad, and it’s not because all tablets hold a similar shape and they could not differentiate an Apple Ipad from an Android tablet. It’s just the fact that this tablet looks dead on an Ipad. Now I don’t personally care in the tablet department. But when you start heading in the direction of putting one center button at the bottom, that isn’t depressed and isn’t a circle, but still it’s too nauseatingly close to trying to make Androud resemble a damn Iphone. And I don’t have issue with that over patent reasons. I do simply because when i buy an Android phone, the last thing in the world i want it to look is a simplified Iphone…..yuck!

  • FortitudineVincimus

I want this.. just trumped Samsung hours after their meh announcement… LG announces the Optimus LTE2 with 2GB of RAM, TrueHD IPS display, 2150mAh battery, wireless charging and just better looking IMHO

    • LiterofCola

Not bad looking. Not great, but not bad. I’d like to see what the Razr HD would officially offer as well.

  • Artistan

    This is kinda… fugly.

  • The rent is too damn high and the phone is too damn big!

  • Jordan

that phone makes that same interference sound as an AT&T phone

  • tjpeco

I think the phone looks better than my galaxy nexus personally. The proportions look bette… but ifI cared that much about what my phone looked like then Id be an iSheep. I care about what the phone can do and to me the features on this thing are whaats making me dig it. Specifically the buttonless voice recognition and the screen stay awake feature.

  • AndroidFan2

Not sure what there is not to like about this phone…. I wasn’t a huge fan of the hardware design when I first saw it either, but now I really, really like the design. Software wise the phone seems to be top notch too bringing some new features that Android has never seen before. No, the specs aren’t way out of the ordinary like a 2GHz quad core processor, 2gb of RAM or a 13mp camera, but that doesn’t mean this won’t be an absolutely amazing phone that will make many people very happy. I think this phone will shine a new light in the direction of Android finally giving people a very polished Android phone that should work near perfect out of the box.. I for one am still very excited about it and will purchase it the first chance I get.

  • yarrellray

Bottom line here software is excellent being able to swap out batteries excellent and 32 and 64 available storage again excellent. These things alone make this device special. Can’t help but wonder about the upcoming Galaxy Note 2 announcement next week. With ICS on the Note 2 arriving on tmobile software will be great. Next week CTIA will be big.

  • Iue

    to each their own

  • jack daniels

It looks just like a big iphone

    • Tim242

Are you serious? I’m not too fond of the phone…but it looks nothing like an iphone.

    • LiterofCola

      Why? Because it’s white??

    • Dr_Buttballs

Expect it looks nothing like an iPhone.

  • RickPardo

When will the sign up page for the next Nexus or HTC “Note” be available?

  • Chris

I think it just looks like a really big i *hone

  • Jaime Ramirez

    • LiterofCola

      You don’t saaaaaay

  • it’s a nice phone, i’m still happy i got the nexus though. it would be nice if they worked out some of the bugs. having to restart the phone because the camera app won’t open half the time is rather annoying.

  • Meh. I’ll just check DL. You guys will tell us faster anyway.

  • Knlegend1

I think this will be a solid phone. People are complaining but once they get it they will have nothing to complain about like the Nexus. Radio anyone…as I type that I realize that this is the same company lol.

  • C-Law

They never sent me updates when I signed up for the gnex. I doubt they will this time either

    • WAldenIV

As I read the story I was thinking “No, I’ll just continue to visit Droid-Life”. Apparently Kellex was thinking the same thing.

  • ppelucas

    phuck samsung

  • Jason Purp

Am I the only person who thinks this phone is extremely ugly?!

    • what Patricia said I didn’t know that anyone able to earn $5911 in four weeks on the computer. did you read this web page LâzýÇãsh5.Çom

      • Jason Purp

        Shut up

        • MooleyBooleyTroll

Don’t tell Freida to shut up. You all love ads remember :O

    • Butters619

To eat the own, but I am also not a fan.

The could have done a smooth touch or matte plastic to make it look better.

      • Jason Purp

        To eat the own indeed

        • Butters619

          Damn autocorrect.

          • LiterofCola

            I lol’d

        • Liderc

          lol /win

      • Liderc

        To eat their own indeed.

But I agree, a matte plastic would have made those colors really pop. The gloss just makes it look cheap.

        • Butters619

Yeah. I really just can’t get over the glossy plastic.

Just wait till I put an extended battery on this beast. It will be ginormous. I love how Samsung phones are so light though. Makes adding the extended battery make it feel even better.

My bionic was already a bit of a brick, and after adding my extended battery it is just huge.

    • r0lct

You’re certainly are not the first person who hasn’t seen the phone in person who thinks so. Just saying.

  • FortitudineVincimus

why? we will know about anything and everything before they even send 1 mail. it is a marketing scam just to collect data. nothing more, nothing less.

    • feztheforeigner

But we get to see that Verizon shows up as a carrier preference, meaning it’s in the running for the Galaxy S III?…

      • Butters619

Under the galaxy nexus website you could select AT&T….

  • EvanTheGamer

Even though I won’t be able to get the SIII until 2013, and even then, something bigger and better will be available..still signing up anyways.

I think I’m going to talk my dad into getting the SIII, just so I can play around with it, since I can’t get it. haha

    • FortitudineVincimus

By 2013, this phone won’t mean shizzz… it barely means shizz now given it is pretty much run of the mill current hardware with some snazzy software additions – but that does not make it a phone redefining smart phones and sure will not make it worthy in 2013.

I will still likely get it though as I need a new phone ASAP as my OG Droid is painful to use and I just need t get out from under it and, for today, this is my best bet.

Here’s hoping Huawei brings some of their truly awesome high end hardware to the USA.

      • EvanTheGamer

Don’t get me wrong, I still want to mess around with it, but I’m still currently happy with my G-Nex(especially with the newly available Update 4.0.4, although I haven’t had the time to install it yet, all in due time), so I’m not too worried about not being able to get the SIII.

But like I said, something way better will be out by the time my upgrade is available in 2013, that is definitely a certainty.

    • jak_341

It still doesn’t trump the GNex. The slight bump in specs doesn’t warrent having to deal with Touchwiz. If you root and add a custom, this phone will be great though.

    • Jon

Wait what? 2013? I watched the video of the press conference. They said US later this summer.

      • EvanTheGamer

Yes, should be launching this Summer, but what I meant was that I myself won’t be able to get it until next year(when I’m up for an upgrade again).

  • droidlife4life

WTF! kellex! this phone was suppose to be epic with super a. plus plus screen something better than a 8 meg pixel adopt the gnex on screen keys and and other stuff that truly makes a phone innovative and i know you and everyone else that visits this website including myself was expecting something amazing but its nothing short of current tech (aside from the quad processor). I love my gnex and i was hoping i would move on to the gs3 but its not even worth it don’t lie and act like the sg3 is amazing when you know its a miniature bump from the gnex and sg2, I guess there getting bad habits from apple and going with the samsung galaxy IIs status so well have to wait till the real sg3 comes out. I love that your on the samsung galaxy 3 like its top notch but don’t lie to us droid life readers.

    • Don’t like how this comment was delivered at all, but overall, I agree.

      • droidlife4life

        :-/ truth hurts

    • this blows away the one x on paper. but the us verison will only have an

      • Butters619

        How so?

      • LiterofCola

    • Liderc

Agreed. I want to see Kellex slam this phone. It didn’t even come close to living up to the hype. That’s common now, but the gloss back and that home button? I want to see some ranting about how Samsung face planted on this.

    • Dr_Buttballs

Everyone here gets too hyped up over rumors. Remember that everything you hear about a phone prior to it being officially announced has to be taken with a grain of salt. This phone could have been better, but in reality as long as it functions well, without hassle, and gets you through a 2 year contract who really cares? I await my down votes.

  • MooleyBooleyTroll

Just when I think this sites adds can’t get any worse, I turn off adblock and voila!! EVEN MORE FREAKING ADS!!!!! Geesh… No wonder this site takes so long to open lol 70% Ads 30% Content. Unvote this if you *LOVE* pages filled with Ads!!

    • down votes because you are a troll.

    • Butters619

You know how this blog stays up? Money.
You know how this blog makes money? Ads.
So without the ads you would have no droid life. Please stop complaining.

      • MooleyBooleyTroll

Damn… I look up and see alot of ad loving people 🙂
And btw.. there hardly is no Droid-Life anymore because it’s covered up in ads.

        • AndroidUser00110001

The new ads on bottom of the bar are rather annoying…

          • Sobr0801

They are fine, as long as he is getting paid. Send him some cash, and maybe he will drop the ads. People bitched so much about those T-Mobile ad’s I recall also.
