I never lost access on the PC or on the mobile website but it seemed to have killedmy auth token on my Galaxy Nexus. I was constantly getting “no connection – retry” messages on one of my accounts. I had to delete gmail app data and add the account back to get a new auth token and resolve it.

There should be a sub stream of articles less important about statuses of services that are up or down. The headlines for these outages make it seem like the world is gonna end, when really just wait it out and you will be perfectly safe and okay. It’s not news, it comes off moreso obnoxious. This may be important to some, but some people throughout the day today are gonna see this, and have no idea when the hell this happened, and not even care. If I have a service stop working on my phone, I will assume the service is down and I will check with google or where ever to see whats up or if it is just me. That easy. Lets all breathe.

Not sure why this is news worthy, if you look back this has happened a couple of times over the last week, with a similar small percentage of users experiencing it.

Mine just came back a couple minutes ago. I was down for almost 3 hours. Still good turnaround for what might have been a hardware failure on a *FREE* service. Props to Google for quickly resolving the issue.

What was really weird was this error did not affect all of my accounts, which leads me to believe that perhaps this was a physical hardware problem with a server AND that all of my accounts don’t live on that same server …
