Comments on: Chrome for Android Receives Update – Requesting Desktop Sites, Bookmarks as Shortcuts, and Proxy Support Included

This seems like a long overdue app update. Chrome is my favorite browser and I’m surprised it took this long to include bookmarks, of all things. I think it’s great that it allows for both the desktop and mobile version of a site, since not all mobile sites contain as many features as the desktop site.

However, with that being said, the desktop version might be a moot point since Android Chrome doesn’t support the current version of Flash. If Adobe has ceased production on further versions of Flash for mobile, that’s quite unfortunate for Android Chrome.

Adobe is still supporting current browsers. But, they said no new browsers would be supported.

Just because Adobe isn’t developing new versions doesn’t mean that they couldn’t make Chrome compatible with the current version. How about at least an option to turn it on or off, like every other browser with flash support?

I don’t get why anyone would say they enjoy no flash

U know u can set plugins to “on demand” in the settings menu and any flash content shows up with an arrow that u must push for it to be loaded… so every site u go to no flash loads and it is just as speedy as a non flash browser.. but when u need flash u click it and walah! Flash is awesome I watch local news video clips all the time

In this picture below you see all the white boxes with arrows in the center? That’s flash content and when I click it it loads… why would anyone consider not having the option of this? If u don’t want it don’t use it.. but that one in 10 year time u need flash its there

Same here. Our phones handle the full desktop version just fine. Why would I want to limit myself to the crappy mobile version of a site?

FINALLY, FINALLY! Dear god, this was the only reason I didn’t use Chrome. Thank god.

Also, no flash is a plus. Yuck.
