Any ideas on what might be causing this? Running stock, did not root my Xoom

I have the same problem, it appears to install but still shows 4.0.3 and then says update is available over and over.

Maybe someone can explain why my mom’s xoom WILL NOT complete this update? We are very confused about it, the device is brand new, and it won’t complete…..she’s running 4.0.3. We got a little android guy with a red triangle and exclamation point, rebooted, and it went back to 4.0.3 and runs fine, but she was previously plagued by reminders for a system update over and over and over. What is this about?

Yep totally stock Xoom, stock everything never rooted, correct version and apply patch space failure. Pretty sure this is fake.

This link from motorola actually lists the FE version to get the update in Q2. So hopefully we see an OTA within the next 3 months,
