Inductive charging, not this, removes a lot of flexibility. The user can no longer hold or use their phone in any way. This tech would be very cool to see if it comes true!

The electromagnetic field it would give off would be crazy though. Especially for people who are sensitive to it, it would make them sick or paranoid, people can have adverse reactions to it.

Yeah, last year I was thinking about this, but I was thinking more of being able to be in the same room. But I’ll bet they have a hulluva time getting this through the fcc.

I said this somewhere last year– inductive charging just isn’t worth it– I’d rather battery swap. But how cool would it be to have a toggle in your newest rom that says “charge”, and that was all there was to it. Too sweet.

Does it mean they were already planning to get the Nexus in May 2011? 6 months prior to actual Nexus release? That sounds weird.

(I wonder if you could get an S II on AT&T? A Nexus on AT&T? An SII on T-Mobile? Rogers? A Nexus on those two? Oh right, you could.)
