How do you mistakenly turn on encryption? Its like a couple hour process, and your battery has to be fully charged if not plugged in, so I would say you purposely turned on encryption, which was probably a mistake?

Sad day for me, listen up GNex owners…

As of yesterday I was running Pete Alfonso’s Bugless Beast with Franco’s kernel – everything was grand. For whatever reason, I mistakenly turned on encryption – DO NOT DO THIS!!!!

Yes, I already knew the only way back was to flash stock images and radios and bootloader – great, always fun to do that, so I went ahead and did, then re-rooted, flashed a rooted ROM< and that's when things went south.

Now the 'More' menu in Settings NEVER comes up and locks up the OS completely. I've reset, hard reset, re-flashed stock, rooted ROMS, NOTHING has worked. It seems the encryption is still present and now after re-flashing everything the phone is wonky.

So now my phone is dead, going back to VZW – don't EVER turn on encryption. Google f'd this one up big time!!!!

We love peoples opinions on things. That’s why we run a blog. We have the best Android community in the world, so we would never want to ruin that. But, somebody spent a lot of time to put that theme together and does it free of charge – and to just call it “fugly” I find that quite immature and borderline offensive.

Either way you slice it, it’s not like I’m going to ban him lol
