I could understand why he doesn't find interest in it. Sense 4.0 and the company that notorious for bad battery life is introducing 2 more cores of computing power. One of them is probably dedicated to running Sense.

Top that off with HTC's hideous styling and I could see it. Just like the Rezound, this phone will have to prove to be well above it's worth before it's considered a good deal.

That's correct... it's an evolution of W-CDMA/UMTS and is the technology chosen by the GSM Association to replace GSM - it's 3G. But what it also is, is leaps and bounds better than 1xEVDO... and has better battery life, and better handoffs than eHRPD to the current technology chosen by the GSM Association to replace 3G -- LTE.

So yes... I have hopes and dreams that maybe Verizon will entertain refarming some spectrum for HSPA+ 42 at a bare minimum. It would also assist their deteriorating voice quality. Reason being - as 2011 taught us, sometimes networks fail and an adequate fallback network would be beneficial.

I love how some people do absolutely NO research before making a post and give out misinformation. I did my research, and this is what I cam across:

Both the DROID 4 and LG Spectrum that were announced this week at CES have global radios inside, but because of a network issue, they are not active. To this point, none of Verizon’s LTE phones have active global roaming, however, that is about to change according to VZW spokesperson Brenda Raney: ”The LTE phones work globally in over 40 countries that currently use CDMA technology…. For the new LTE phones to provide global roaming voice and data in non-CDMA countries, we are working on a few network enhancements so we can provide customers with the best voice and data roaming experience. We anticipate this capability to be available this year, likely the first half of the year."Apparently, the Droid 4 is ALREADY a "world phone." It's just that Verizon has yet to enable global roaming capabilities. Does anyone have evidence claiming otherwise? Please share...

I don't want to be discouraging, but I really doubt it will happen, only the chinese versions of the Motorola phones come out with different (bumped) specs (Say RAZR versions MT917 & XT928).
I see it this way... companies know that they can create the best phone ever... adding more RAM, HD screen, awesome keyboard, huge battery, Quad Core processor... but if you buy that phone... how long would you have to wait to replace it, you can live 3 years with a phone like that nowadays... So they just put a lot of great features and leave behind a couple of them, so when the new Droid 5 with HD screen comes out in 6 to 12 months, you'll want to change it...
Douchebag Cell Phone Vendors... :p
