Hell yeah they used to be built like a tank! I have no idea their build quality today, but if I ever spawn any little bastards I’d definitely want them to look back at their childhood and remember playing with a Tonka truck in the dirt, just like I do. That and cremating my G.I. Joe’s when they died in battle.

Actually, they can’t, as evidenced by HTC allowing you to unlock your bootloader. Verizon can’t just send out an update that locks the handsets down where the developers would be unable to develope a root method again. It is the bootloader that allows easy perm root and Verizon does not have access to that, only HTC.

(sigh) Such a sad sign of the times. While I completely agree with you, I am saddened by the reference to the Tonka Truck as a negative on how something is built. Yes, today the Tonka Trucks are cheap, plastic and fairly easily damaged…but when I was growing up (yes I know, cliche) the Tonka toys were made of steel, tough as you could ever imagine, and heavy enough to use as a weapon if some other kid tried to kick your sand and dirt construction project down. Ahh nastalgia..

There is pixelation, It was the same as on the Incredible, the reason I brought this up is because whenever this site talks about this phone they mention how amazing the screen is, when I don’t see any way it looks better then the display on the Galaxy Nexus or Motorola Razr. but not to say this phone does not have a good display but I still think my Gnex has a better screen.
